Yep, there it goes. I just ran up the flag on this guy. I don't care that he's a republican, what he has done here is unconscionable and unforgivable. He should have been better than the mob and simply left the venue.
Rep. Steve Chabot of Ohio's 1st congressional district at a recent town hall meeting had police at his order confiscate cell phones and video cameras from the audience. This was ridiculous in light of the fact that television media was there at the same time to record the event.
In all fairness to Rep. Chabot he faced a no win situation, mobbed by unionistas who set upon this town hall meeting to attack him en masse, not to engage in any civil discourse with their representative. The cards were stacked against the congressman before he set foot in the room.
When he saw that things were what they were the congressman should have quietly bowed out. I can appreciate that he attempted to maintain order in the face of the mob and hold sway but I feel he crossed the line when he ordered police to confiscate the private property of citizens.
The man had no right to do so. I am not defending the heathen Libtard animals who beset him, I am calling B.S. on the actions which the congressman chose to pursue.
The Gentleman is out of line.
