I went to Hobby Lobby and picked up some stuff for a heavy duty toy-on-a-stick.  It's reusable and he isn't going to break this one.

He likes to bite on stuff after he "catches" it.  I'll need to find something he can chomp on.

I just wanted to chime in, I have decided to move my cat from canned to dry food.

There are 2 reasons...

1)My cat had a problem that required having a tooth pulled. That was on canned food, I will explain this later.

2) It has improved her performance in the litterbox, I'll leave it at that but if anybody has a question just ask.

3) If you move to dry food you must make sure that the cat has water.

4) The reason I moved to dry food, (specifically royal canin) is for the larger kibbles...it sorta makes them chew them up more so it reduces vomiting but it also increases tooth cleaning.

Ok 4 reasons.

jinges has a hard enough times getting her nails cut, never mind brushing her teeth. I have always fed her dry food, once I tried wet food, she was vomiting constantly and the throwup was harder to clean up. Also I have a special water bowl as well....

I've never fed mine canned food. Not because I was trying to protect them or the dogs...but because I couldn't stand the sight and particularly the smell of canned cat/dog food.  :puke:


I've used Iams for over 20 years. Since the hairball formula came out, I use it. If I don't....there are "gifts".
