My cat won't drink from the water dish if there is so much as a hair floating on the surface of the water.  It gets changed on a regular basis.  I usually have two bowls of water for her as well, so that if one is contaminated, she has another to drink from.  She'll happily drink from the toilet as well.

She also tells me when it time to go to bed by meowing loudly until I lay down, and then she curls up next to me.  She also recently learned how to flush the toilet.  She is a smart cookie  :p
Did your cat make the trip to Nebraska with you?

Not only is he worried about his cat, he is concerned about the cats of others.  I would give you a high 5, but I just spent it on Ricky Bobby.   :-)

She certainly did.  She was absolutely silent during the plane trip and hid under the bed for several days once we got here, but she is happy now.

I don't know if this has been noted before but...

"You're base all belong to them" or something along that line.

I got a 6 year old Siamese, got her as a kitten.

She is too much like a dog as far as I am concerned, she has this habit of getting all up in my grill when she hears a maple seed dropping to the earth.

She is just too much touchy feely, not really what I was looking for. Don't get me wrong, I am a cat person but I was looking for something that was more standoffish.

More like an alpha male barn cat. What I ended up with was a lapcat with pointy feet (got to watch where she is walkin on my lap).

It's cool to hear that it knows how to flush the toilet, cats are deceptively smart, my cat can open the bathroom door, hop up on the vanity and turn on the sink.

She gets a drink and then watches the water swirl down the sink.

My cat changes at the flip of a switch.  One minute he's desperate for attention and can't leave me alone, and the next he's twitchy and scared of everything.  I don't know if he was a stray when I picked him up, but he's still skittish.  If he has somewhere to hide, he'll go there unless I get down to his level or lie on the couch where he can see me at eye level.

That's his favorite time of the day, when I get home and crash on the couch.  It's cuddle time.

Now that I think back on it, three of the best cats that have lived with me and mine have all been Ferrel.

Kuntakitty: Ferrel kitten, My dad found it in a dumpster, a good cat, stayed to itself for the most part but didn't disagree to to being petted.

Bob: an adult Ferrel cat, my dad befriended him, we petted this cat at our own risk. He had jaws like a hydraulic vice and he always got our attention by laying teeth on us. It was also fun to watch him kick dog ass.

Rubjob: psycopathicly friendly, she was a druler when petted.

Howse about Fluffy as in toilet bowl cleaner  :whatever:
It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

Oh btw, one thing that I think that works.

my cat  is also a TP shreder.

The thing was that the TP was  hung in such a way that all she had to do was reach up, grab and pull down.

In other words, the TP ran out over the the top.

Once I turned it around by making the TP dispence from the back and bottom she quickly lost interest.

My cat ignores the TP... I keep the roll on the shelf.

He doesn't even mess with the empty roll I left on the hanger. :???:
