I am also allergic to the objects of my affection.  I just take a lot of benadryl.

My very first cat was a calico with those colorings.  She lived to be 20.  I thought she was immortal after she turned 17.

If I go with a non-animal shelter cat, the next one I get is a Burman.

ooooh!  that is a great cat!

My mom has a Burman.  She's the sweetest cat.  And their hair, while long, doesn't mat.  She's so graceful and pretty.

Short, fat and basically useless varmit chaser, the real Dixie Darling.

While my DIL was in the hospital having the baby I found out the hard way that my grandson is allergic to her.

I had a siamese.  she was a total lunatic, but I loved her.

a burmese sounds like a gamble, though.

I like the blue eyes in cats, but you have to almost inbreed them to get that . . . .

The two I have now are already freaks, being polydactal and all.  I don't mind a little deformity in a cat if it comes with blue eyes.  :)

my next kittie:

I haven't found her, though.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that she is in Kentucky right at this very minute. :-)  She is absolutely beautiful though.  She is 11 years old but acts like she is 98.  I saw one just like her at our pound the other day.  I wanted to get it to match Cali (the one in the picture) but I don't think my parents want me to abandon another cat at their house.

My cat is a person cat.  She likes someone to wake up in the mornings and someone to feed her.

I love how they're all congregated in the sunny spot.  My cats used to do that at my old apartment.  At the house, I don't get a lot of direct sunlight through the windows.
