« on: April 26, 2008, 08:56:18 PM »
Since WE is busy playing dress up in another thread ( :lmao: ), I thought I'd take the liberty of starting a happy hour thread.

Sooooo .... what y'all doing?  How was your day?

It's about time someone started one.  :cheersmate:

I woke up to snowing, and just plain miserable nasty colder than sh*t morning. It went downhill from there.  :-) I moped around the house and did a million loads of laundry.  :p

today was a totally lazy day.  I didn't do much besides snooze on the couch and read a book.  I am a totally worthless

I am bored off my ass at my cousins' house in Texas. Leaving for home tommorrow. My grandpa has been convinced to go under the knife, so, the trip was a operational success.

Oh Lord, I almost feel guilty! It was t-shirt whether here. I puttered around in my garden. Mostly I'd dig up some weeds, the chickens would come running and get under foot looking for worms, grubs, and other luscious things so I'd have to stop for a while because I didn't want to chop off any heads with my pick. Domino (my cattle dog) and I took the goats for a walk around the property so they could nibble on brambles. We even had left over pizza for dinner so I didn't have to cook.

I had to work.   :whatever:

Came home, fell asleep on the couch.  Damn that couch.  I'm going to have to go hunt some dinner in a little bit.

It was 85 today. We took kiddo to his soccer game this morning and then they took team photos. I have no idea who decided it was a good idea to take the photos AFTER the game. Oy! Anyway, they all look so adorable in their little uniforms. I'm talking about him like he's two. He would die!

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Nah.  All that's left is a 10x20.  I let my son have the other 1/2 when my lab passed on.  My farkin' beagle had separation anxiety and wouldn't have anything to do with staying out back!  I fenced the front yard in last year for her.

I have my out building and a pallet of clay pots close to it.  Something had been living off to the side of the lot though.  Hence my fear of varmits.  Probably just rabbits but I didn't see anything.  I spook too easy these days.

Getting giddy here with a .....   :whistling: ....everybody now!

Bottle of wine, fruit of the vine
When you gonna let me get sober
Let me alone, Let me go home
Let me go back and start over

Well, I've rambled around this dirty old town
Singing for nickels and dimes
Times getting rough, I can't get enough
To buy me a little bottle of wine

Bottle of wine, fruit of the vine
When you gonna let me get sober
Let me alone, Let me go home
Let me go back and start over

Well, little hotel, older than hell
Cold as the dark in the mine
Light so dim, I had to grin
I got me a little bottle of wine

Bottle of wine, fruit of the vine
When you gonna let me get sober
Let me alone, Let me go home
Let me go back and start over

Well, the preacher will preach and the teacher will teach
The miner will dig in the mine
I ride the rods, trusting in God
Huggin' my little bottle of wine

Bottle of wine, fruit of the vine
When you gonna let me get sober
Let me alone, Let me go home
Let me go back and start over

Well, pain in my head, bugs in my bed
Pants so old that they shine
Out on the street, I tell the people I meet
To buy me a little bottle of wine

Bottle of wine, fruit of the vine
When you gonna let me get sober
Let me alone, Let me go home
Let me go back and start over

Bottle of wine, fruit of the vine
When you gonna let me get sober

It was unseasonably cool here in Undiesland.  It stayed in the 60's all day.  The humidity is very high.

I painted the front door.  It needs to be replaced, but that is about 102th on my list, so I painted it again.  Now it doesn't look like the opening to hell anymore.  The paint is still tacky due to the humidity.

My Little Angel and I took about a three hour nap.  We will now both be up to around 2am.

We ate some cookies and a corn dog and some pork 'n beans, probably in that order.  We watched "Willie Wonka And The Choclate Factory" three times....well, it played three times.  "Ruby & Max" is on now.  Little Angel will want to watch "Rachel" afterwards.  That means "30 Minute Meals With Rachel Ray".  Little Angel loves to watch Rachel cook and jabber.

My big toe has a long nail.  I'm thinking about cutting it.

I am Poppell, which rhymes with (Ted) Coppell.  I was so named by my first grandchild who changed "Papa" into "Poppell".  He'll be 16 this year.  He still calls me Poppell, like almost everyone now.  It will be on my headstone.
