A blast from the past
« on: August 20, 2011, 10:36:46 PM »
As a fictional spirit guide I have been somewhat concerned about the lack of spirit guide talk on DU. I began a search to see if I could find out what is going on. I still haven't found my answer, but I did find an old DU thread that was interesting.

Having trouble getting in touch with my guides.

Remember how we had that thread here a while back regarding Sylvia Brown's advice about how to get in touch with your spirit guide or guides? She said you should ask for their names on the edge of sleep each night, and you should have the answer by the third night. Well, I've been doing that for two weeks and nothing's coming. I realize that this strategy, as it comes from Sylvia Brown, may be questionable; my take on her is: when she's on, she's on, when she misses, she misses by a mile. But I still enjoy listening to her and I want to know the names of my guides, goshdarnit! I'm quite certain I have some. An aura photographer took a look at a photo of me once that featured me with this huge, orange aura, and reported that she could see indications of three guides who had probably been with me since I was born. I do feel that spirit guides help me from time to time, usually when I am about to cop out on a commitment I've made, or scared to face up to a challenging task. On a few occasions, I've literally felt a presence in my head saying, "You are going to suck it up and do X, because you said you would/you need to/you'll seriously regret it if you don't." Those incidents, in which I received crucial encouragement from...somewhere when I couldn't give it to myself, were some of the pinnacle moments of my life.

I would really love to know their names, but Brown's method isn't working for me. Anyone else have any tips for contacting or getting information about a person's guides?

You're spirit guide at the time that you wrote this had a nervous breakdown as a result of having to deal with you. You're current spirit guide's name is Rocko.

3. Sylvia also said that you can rename your guides if the name

seems too strange to you. She has renamed hers. I think you aren't listening carefully enough. Mine came through loud and clear on the second night and I almost missed it because my thoughts had trailed off to something else when the name came. However, I see no reason not to call your guides what you want to call them. It could be that they are trying to get that name through to you.

Do NOT listen to Sylvia. Spirit guides take offense to someone changing their names. They will make terrible things happen to you. One woman had a spirit guide named Lonzo. She didn't like the name Lonzo so she started calling the spirit guide Bob. Lonzo, in anger, actually removed the woman's intelligence to such a level that she became a babbling idiot. She became a regular poster on DU and eventually won DOTY.
Fictional spirit-guiding by appointment.

For new members and lurkers: I am a fictional spirit-guide with no smell whatsoever. I am part irish setter and part pigeon. If you don't smell any strange smells it means I'm probably standing next to you. As I am a fictional character anything I post should possibly be considered fictional.

That spirit guide stuff is a scam.

It simply isn't scientific, like global warming, or green jobs, or chakras. Especially chakras.
One of the worst things you can have is a wonky chakra:

Question about Chakras
My sister did an energy treatment on me last weekend - and said my heart chakra was "really wonky".

As she's new at it, she was pretty non-specific about what exactly that meant and what I could do about it.

Any ideas?

2. Well here is my opinion...
First, if a chakra is blocked we just work on clearing it and we do this by not just clearing it but by putting positive thoughts into the subconscious mind of the one we are working on.....and without putting thoughts of trouble into the person's head.
Its the same way if we see in a palm line or a tarot reading that there is something negative ahead..we don't say.."hey your going to be run over by a bus tomorrow"..we say.."tomorrow will be a good day to stay home." See what I mean?
If your heart chakra is blocked there is a simple thing to do. Focus on loving others and work on forgiving. Its as simple as that.
If you give permission, I can check your heart chakra from here.
All you need to do is say I can. I can use your name you sign in here to chat with as you are connected to that so I do not need anymore information, only permission.
For those that wish to know how to do this long distance, the answer is also simple. I shall simply use the light-fibers of my second chakra to reach your energy field.

So I thought, "Long distance chakra checking must be a real bitch!" I'd have realized it was actually simple if I'd just given it some thought.

Its hard for them to realize that through the fog!
"Liberalism is an essentially feminine, submissive world view. Perhaps a better adjective than feminine is infantile. It is the world view of men who do not have the moral toughness, the spiritual strength to stand up and do single combat with life, who cannot adjust to the reality that the world is not a huge, pink-and-blue, padded nursery in which the lions lie down with the lambs and everyone lives happily ever after."

But when it comes to consciences, primitives are deaf.

Mentally. Defective.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

All the DUmmies have made a deal with their conscience. They won't bother it if it won't bother them....so far it's working.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin
