It is critical that Democrats and other Progressives demand the President move left.

I voted for Barack Obama in 2008 because he espoused a Progressive agenda - end wars, single-payer healthcare, fair taxation policy, etc.

When dealing with right-wingers and Gallop-style pollsters I still defend the President with vigor.

But fact is I'm bitterly disappointed and think it is critical that Democrats and other Progressives demand the president take an about turn on policy. Not baby steps. Take off the gloves and fight for the American People. If he doesn't do this - and very soon - he should be primaried from the left.

Three more years of DINO behavior followed by two years of lame-ducking is not what I signed on for, and I will not support it in 2012.

The future of America - you know, the People - depends on it.

Oh shove your bitter BS. You will go in the booth and vote D forever no matter what.

"the People"

I'm so sick of this pretense.

For some odd reason, every time they claim to want something for "the People" it always seems to net some material gain for themselves as well. Perhaps I'm too cynical but that seems just a tad suspicious to me.

And as one of "the People" I don't want or need them speaking for me. And what's more: while Scuba et al claim to speak for "the People" when they demand material benefits that also benefot themselves they never seem to show any consideration for "the People" from whom the materials are taken.

Stop speaking for me. Stop taking from him. Mind your own goddam business.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

It seems these fools don't have a mirror.  They claim to be all upset that Dear Leader said one thing in his public campaigning for office and then acted totally different after taking the oath, but they admit they'll portray themselves one way publicly while betraying the way they really feel.

"I'm bitterly disappointed, but I'll defend him with vigor."  Well, you just admitted you're an idiot, so you get what you deserve.

Hey Scuba,

"The People" spoke.  They said "@#$% democrats".  And they're about to say it again in 2012.

It's the economy, stupid.  Something that cannot be fixed with more leftness stupidity.

Are these people so far to the left that they don't realize that Obama is a leftist to the majority of people?

Yes. Next question.

It actually shocks me that they don't realize it's progressive politics that have gotten us into this mess.

14. The best way to get Obama to move left is to
elect more good Democrats to Congress.

Congress is the one that creates and passes legislation.

How'd that work for you in 2010?  The whole thread displays their utter powerlessness.  Just wishing something and posting it at the DUmp doesn't make it so.

"the People"

I'm so sick of this pretense.

Well, "The Children" trump card comes out next.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

As long as the GOP has the House and a filibuster available in the Senate, this works for me.  The farther left he goes the better at this point!

Scuba should consider moving the air intake for the tank compressor...a wee bit further from the compressors exhaust.
Just sayin' :whatever:

Ever think that the American people do not want that same "policy" that the imposter wants to put us in, primitive?

Why does that small minority of socialists think they, are reponsible for BO, in office?
Are they DUmbasses, or what?

The future of America - you know, the People - depends on it.

Scuba, Scuba, Scuba,

As a former candidate for your Jackass Party and as a fictional spirit-guide I feel that I am uniquely qualified to respond to your post. I suppose the easy way to do this is one point at a time so awaaayyy we go.

It is critical that Democrats and other Progressives demand the President move left. - With this sentence you show just a bit of ignorance. If the unicorn keeper were any farther left he would fall off of the planet. As a matter of fact, if Lenin were alive today he would ask, "who's that Kenyan way to my left?"

I voted for Barack Obama in 2008 because he espoused a Progressive agenda - end wars, single-payer healthcare, fair taxation policy, etc. - Right here you are falling into that Jackass Party routine of lying every breath. Don't you agree that it would be a bit more accurate to say that you voted for the unicorn keeper because you thought he would give you free shit while you sat on your ass, give you a unicorn, and destroy the country? You should really look on the bright side. He might not have given you free shit, but he has made everything pretty shitty. He might not have destroyed the country, but he's well on his way to doing so. With the unicorn, I know a girl who dates a guy whose second cousin on his mother's side is friends with fellow whose brother works at the stable where the unicorns are kept. I've been assured that you will be getting your unicorn shortly. Your's is pink with glittery sparkles.

But fact is I'm bitterly disappointed and think it is critical that Democrats and other Progressives demand the president take an about turn on policy.  - How would the unicorn keeper make an "about turn" on policy? Would he almost come up with some policies that are good for America and then go back to the same old sucky policies that he and your Jackass Party are using in an attempt to destroy the country?

Take off the gloves and fight for the American People. - You use gloves for fighting (aka boxing). If he has gloves on that means he's fighting someone. It's not the enemies of the country he's fighting. He's bowing to them. So who is he fighting? The answer is simple. The unicorn keeper is fighting the American People. He has no desire to fight FOR them. He's only interested in fighting them. They want a successful United States of America. He wants a United Socialist States of America.

Three more years of DINO behavior followed by two years of lame-ducking is not what I signed on for, and I will not support it in 2012. - You're lying again. You'll support what the unicorn keeper tells you to support and like it.

The future of America - you know, the People - depends on it. - So you think the future of America depends on destroying America? I bet in your world "up" means "down" doesn't it?

Scuba, I'm going to be honest with you. I'm being honest with you because I am a former candidate for the Jackass Party and you're a current Jackass Party member. I'm also being honest with you because I'm a fictional spirit-guide and the job of the fictional spirit-guide is to help people. In your post you come off as sounding not too bright. There's an old saying that says that it's better for you to be quiet and have folks think you're an idiot than for you to open your mouth and remove all doubt. The same could be said for internet posting. Maybe you should post less?

Your friend, former candidate, and fictional spirit-guide,
