It is critical that Democrats and other Progressives demand the President move left.
I voted for Barack Obama in 2008 because he espoused a Progressive agenda - end wars, single-payer healthcare, fair taxation policy, etc.
When dealing with right-wingers and Gallop-style pollsters I still defend the President with vigor.
But fact is I'm bitterly disappointed and think it is critical that Democrats and other Progressives demand the president take an about turn on policy. Not baby steps. Take off the gloves and fight for the American People. If he doesn't do this - and very soon - he should be primaried from the left.
Three more years of DINO behavior followed by two years of lame-ducking is not what I signed on for, and I will not support it in 2012.
The future of America - you know, the People - depends on it.

As a former candidate for your Jackass Party and as a fictional spirit-guide I feel that I am uniquely qualified to respond to your post. I suppose the easy way to do this is one point at a time so awaaayyy we go.

If the unicorn keeper were any farther left he would fall off of the planet. As a matter of fact, if Lenin were alive today he would ask, "who's that Kenyan way to my left?"

Don't you agree that it would be a bit more accurate to say that you voted for the unicorn keeper because you thought he would give you free shit while you sat on your ass, give you a unicorn, and destroy the country? You should really look on the bright side. He might not have given you free shit, but he has made everything pretty shitty. He might not have destroyed the country, but he's well on his way to doing so. With the unicorn, I know a girl who dates a guy whose second cousin on his mother's side is friends with fellow whose brother works at the stable where the unicorns are kept. I've been assured that you will be getting your unicorn shortly. Your's is pink with glittery sparkles.

Would he almost come up with some policies that are good for America and then go back to the same old sucky policies that he and your Jackass Party are using in an attempt to destroy the country?
Take off the gloves and fight for the American People. - You use gloves for fighting (aka boxing). If he has gloves on that means he's fighting someone. It's not the enemies of the country he's fighting. He's bowing to them. So who is he fighting? The answer is simple. The unicorn keeper is fighting the American People. He has no desire to fight FOR them. He's only interested in fighting them. They want a successful United States of America. He wants a United Socialist States of America.

Scuba, I'm going to be honest with you. I'm being honest with you because I am a former candidate for the Jackass Party and you're a current Jackass Party member. I'm also being honest with you because I'm a fictional spirit-guide and the job of the fictional spirit-guide is to help people. In your post you come off as sounding not too bright. There's an old saying that says that it's better for you to be quiet and have folks think you're an idiot than for you to open your mouth and remove all doubt. The same could be said for internet posting. Maybe you should post less?
