I'm currently watching the movie "Walk the Line," which I have never seen before.  Me likey.

Joaquin Phoenix really outdid himself in playing Johnny.  Out of the movies made in my generation, Walk the Line is one of the best by far. :)

ok, the "generation" comment got me. :-)  what is the first serious movie that you ever watched?
one that seriously effected you . . .

Kinda hate to say it now...but Easy Rider.  Ah, younger innocent (albeit stupid) days.

It's Friday night, and I'm procrastinating finishing an essay.   It's almost done, anyway, so I think I will hang here for the evening.   :cheersmate:

good choice.

what is the subject of your essay?  I was always good at the concluding paragraph.

I'm psychologically deconstructing a character from a novel I had to read for my Literature class.   It's been the essay from Hell, as I've told others.    :banghead:

raskolnikov, from C&P?  easy essay.

No, it's a newer novel, called "On Beauty" by Zadie Smith.  It's a culture clash between extremist liberal and conservative families.   Not my idea of a good book.  :whatever:

It's for a "Literature" course.  I put it in quotes for sarcastic reasons.   I have an A in the class, because I am very good at BS'ing in courses like that. ;)

Maybe it's because I'm not drinking any adult beverages.

How's your birthday going?  Get some nice booty?

Yes, they do.  All the novels that we've read in this particular course have all had some sort of liberal bent.    :whatever:

At least the semester is nearing an end (April 30th).

I just read an obituary for a woman named Fannie Muskat Love.  It struck my funny bone.  I must be tired and punchy.
