If stupid, 99.999 pure fine stupid, were worth anything at all nadainthebrain would be hiding money offshore.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

No she wouldn't. She would be screaming "Tax me more"....and all she has to tax is stupid and Washington has enough of that.

Now I ask you, it being August of 2011 and all -- HOW can anyone even hope to top Nadin as top misfit of the DU?

There is just no way, and absolutely no hope for the rest of them.

She is kind of ruining it for me now.   :bawl:

Ok folks here is a little thing about how HIGHER taxes

actually create jobs.

You see, when you have to pay higher taxes you can do that criminal thing and pay the guv'ment for things like roads and schools and all that lefty socialist stuff... or... you can INVEST IT into your own company.

This latter choice is one that actually leads to a job... and that sloth that you just hired, to protect your money from them grubby government funds, well not only does the sloth (er employee) pay taxes. It's not like he has such a shelter to hide funds from the state, but also buys stuff and things creating DEMAND.

In turn that increased demand means that others will NEED to hire more sloths... er employees to meet that demand.

Now note to my kind readers. I am using the less than friendly term sloth, because that is how they think about employees. Yes I've known a few of these bidness owners and more than a few of them DESPISE their workers, even if they depend on that demand to sell their baubles.

Proof is in the pudding... when has the economy been bad? Yes there is a correlation between LOW taxes and bad economies.

Of course the longer view includes silly times like the great depression and 1929... the last time that taxes were THIS LOW... as in the upper two percent.

Ok Nadin, while I don't know what a "bidness" is... I want you to reread your comments here.

The bidness owner, in an attempt to keep his money from the children and better roads, hires a sloth who he/she despises.   This leads to more money pumped into the economy because the sloth now has money to spend, which is a win/win for everyone (except the roads and children of course).

Hmmmm, now call me crazy but why would the bidness owner spend his ill-gotten gains on a despised sloth when he can just buy materials/gadgets for his business and secure the same protection from taxes?

The "business" owner is not going to invest in employees unless the profits their company is yielding is looking secure long term.   There are some nuisance things known as unemployment insurance, worker's compensation insurance, other benefits and the like that they have to consider when hiring sloths.   All are extremely costly to the "business" owner.

In nadin's all-knowing mind, businessmen add headcount for the purpose of holding down taxable income.
I wonder if ever, going back at least to the building of the Pyramids, that has ever happened, even once?

At some point, if we truly want to save our country, people are going to have to have scored a D or better in their high school economics class in order to register to vote.  That would eliminate 99% of DU members off the bat.  Then, they would have to score a D or better in civics class, one taught with only the constitution as course material.  That would eliminate the remaining 1% of DU members.

I may sit up the voting.

Oh, but don't do that.

Remember that the voting for top primitives of 2010, #09 through #03, was so close only one or two votes affected the ranking.  Only the #02 and #01 top primitives (the sparkling husband dude and the Die alte Sau) had any substantial leads.

Every vote counts, and so one should exercise one's vote.

And as to the comment by our esteemed colleague formerlurker, I beg to differ; it doesn't seem to me that nadinostradamus has the top spot all sewed up now; I'm becoming more and more favorably disposed towards the taverner primitive, myself.

Speaking of the fractured Mexlish, I thought of Nadin last night.  You know how Bill O has a word of the day, in order to broaden people's vocabulary?  Last night, it was "Meretricious."  I thought "that sounds like a word that Nadin would find and misuse to great hilarity."   Like mixing it up with "Meritorious."
