Help me feel okay about this. The ends never justify the means.

So there was this big child porn bust. I cheer that news. I have less than zero sympathy for any adults who prey on children.

Under ordinary circumstances, I can be happy with the statement and leave the rest up to the system (my tax dollars pay for).

Then there's this story:

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504083_162-20087678-504083....

It seems our Department of Homeland Security was involved. I have a problem with that. Not Interpol? DHS is now on the porn beat?

Again, I am glad they busted the ring. I am not in the least sympathetic to the perps.

I am bothered by DHS being involved. Help me be okay with that.

The democrat party will lie, cheat, steal, murder, slander, libel, blackmail and kidnap to get a victory. The democrat party as a group have the collective morals or a two bit whore.

Oh yeah. About the DHS. As Ed Meese said one time, we will not arrest you unless you're guilty.

1. Not enough terrorists to go after?

Maybe that is the good news. They got tired of twiddling their thumbs so they went after child terrorizers.

And you have a problem with this?

New campfire.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

Unless they puncture the child's skull, and suction out its brain. Then it's great.

You know, it pains me to see the sparkly squatter referred to as "The Dude", even if he's said he doesn't like the name.
The Dude Lebowski was the absolute coolest character ever. A lazy, uninspired, indolent bum, but still cool beyond cool,
one of the funniest characters ever in one of the funniest Cohn brothers movies ever.

This boring, stupid catbox shitter is the furthest thing imaginable from The Dude, and he doesn't deserve the nickname.
Hell, I'm the second nicest person one could ever hope to meet, and even I don't deserve to be called The Dude.

According to the imposter and Eric Holder, both of whom are red diaper doper babies, there are no terrorists.

Unlike Stinky the Dude, I don't care who arrests the child pornographers/pedophiles just so long as someone does it. I don't care if it's the Russian secret Police, it's okay.

The ends never justify the means.

Never?

In the American Revolutionary War, the idea of fighting war was to have the two armies march onto the field of battle, take a position, and fire at each other.  The colonists didn't do that, but rather the means they used was to hide behind the rocks and trees and everywhere and mow them down.  Was it our fault they liked to wear red and march in a straight line?  The end result was the USA won its independence.

Again I ask, never?

The continental army did fight traditionally.  Washington was not enamored of irregular troops such as rangers or snipers.

Most battles were, I agree.  But the forces of Washington and Greene in battle used a strategy of harrassment and of griding down the Brits instead of seeking a decisive win, which to me is essentially the same thing.  The tactics of which I was making reference happened more in the South where militia forces would attack from swampland, etc,... and then fade away before the Brits could mount a counterattack.  I believe General Marion was called "The Swamp Fox" for that very reason.

Point being that saying the ends never justifies the means is silly.

True, that is what worked in the South.  Greene correctly assumed that he could force the British into pursuing him through the back country.

The premise of the end justifiying the means can be used to justify horrors.  The Department of Homeland Security is a massive mistake, it will be used to enslave the American population if it is left to fester.  The role of busting child pornographers should belong to the FBI.
