No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Holy crap, did she get stung by a bee?

You were on the right track.  I think things went downhill for her after appearing in this video:

Alas! the poor little cherubic heiferette! alas!

Just before she took off for "college" a few years ago, the cherubic heiferette panned the good and decent people of Alabama, the people who'd given her life and sustained her, as if she was too good for them.

Well, if this is what she looks like now, it's obvious the cherubic heiferette wasn't good enough for New York, herself going to blubbery pot like that; probably she should've stayed and basked in the care and love of the decent and civilized people of Alabama.

By the way, I'm noticing a distinctive trend among the "fine arts" graduates, markedly so in this 0bamaeconomy--that many of them are ending up being waitresses at the local eatery or cashiers at Wal-Mart.

That's what happens to the "fine arts" when the economy tanks.

Probably Lil' Ava should've majored in home economics at the University of Alabama or the domestic arts at Auburn University, rather than wasting her mother's, and the taxpayers', money on the "video arts."

Oh no, coach.  Ava did get that right.  Ridicule the academic prowess of U of Alabama or Auburn U (God knows I did it enough when I was at GT), but the hawtness of the female student body at those institutions of higher learning would have guaranteed that poor little butterfaced Ava's only sexual gratification would have come from a shower nozzle or battery-operated device.

No, no, sir; I didn't come across the right way on that.  Sorry.

I wasn't disparaging the fine academic reputations of the University of Alabama or Auburn University--which each individually has surely turned out thousands of well-rounded alumni, for each single one from some obscure video school in New York City.

I'm sure they have a college of home economics or the domestic arts (nothing wrong with that).

I was more making a dig at Lil Ava, about which sort of career would best suit her aptitude and talent, possibly enabling her to avoid her current decrepit state.

'Twas ever thus.  That's why, despite possessing no small artistic talent myself, I acquired degrees, and then advanced degrees, in eminently-employable fields instead of listening to my Muse...after all, she wasn't going to be the one putting gas in a car, food on the table, and a roof over the heads of my family, Muses being rather ethereal and not dependent on real-world sustenance and therefore not really relating to any of that stuff.

Holy crap! I'm not normally one to snark on someone's weight, but damn. I just had a baby and I don't have that many chins-and I was no skinny minnie to begin with! Methinks someone spent too much time at the dining hall buffet and in front of a computer, and not enough time out walking in Alphabet City.

I thinnk the title for that thread would be more like "Miner rescued after three days of Hell in collapsed tunnel."

She pretty much took that freshman 15 to the extreme.

We let her out of the south on purpose. It's commonly referred to as culling. IE you get rid of the bad stock and keep the good.

I blame Lil Ava's mother, for planting the absurd notion in her girl's head that there was something special about her.

Of course, every person is special in one way or another.

But it can be carried to a psychologically-harmful extreme.

By persuading Lil Ava that she was a cut above common humanity, her mother caused the girl to suppress her real talents and aptitudes, adopting instead the perverse idea that she had exceptional artistry and skills at making videos.

When Lil Ava first showed up among the predators of Skins's island as a minor child, the first thing I thought was, "this little girl should be playing with dolls, not making 'political' absurdities."

Well,  Li'l Ava is from a wealthy family, of somewhat less than average intelligence. They will probably bankroll her silly little videos, from which she'll never earn a cent. It's not unlike DUmmy Raven paying a vanity publisher to print copies of her drunken spawn's drivel.

I eagerly await with baited breath on seeing an Ava spread........Er! I mean someone doing a spread on Ava.

Well, that don't sound right either.
