Crop circles: the handiwork of stoned wallabies or science?

Crop circles, those bizarre patterns created by the flattening of a crop such as wheat or corn and popularized by the M. Night Shyamalan thriller “Signs,” have remained an unexplained phenomenon since they were first noticed in the 1970s.

Now, Australian farmers and an American scientist say they’ve found the answer. The only problem? Those answers are not the same. Or even close.

Australian farmers told world news site Global­Post that it’s all the handiwork of wallabies. And not just wallabies, but stoned wallabies, who ingest too many poppy plants and then hop around in circles high as kites. Before you laugh, the theory has been presented as a viable explanation for crop circles before.

That doesn't explain how crop circles are formed in other countries though.  I know, the stoned wallabies are hitching rides on UFOs to go to other countries.

Give me a break, WAY WAY back when, the dudes that started it all fessed up and on a Discovery Program showed how it was done, all done with geometry, a couple of 3 foot boards with holes in them to hold a small rope to be guided by the pranksters to flatten down the fields crop.

So easy to confound the public as we are led to see or hear what others tell us to.
