Question: why would someone have two Social Security Numbers?

I figure identity theft would be one reason. If someone was in Witness Protection, the second number would be assigned to a new name.

Why would someone have two SSNs?

Why would a person supposedly born in Hawaii have a social security number from Connecticut, having never been to Connecticut?

Oh and how did he become president under an intense review by the LMSM?

When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Two votes, DUmbass.
It's a democratc party thing.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

I have two legal SS #'s.

When I went into the Army in 70; while at the induction station, I had to show my SS card. I didn't bring it so they issued me another number. All of my earning from the military was under the 2nd SS number.

I wonder if I could sell one.  :whistling:

I have two. I screwed up as a teenager and filled out the paperwork with my first name in the short form. Later I reapplied because I "lost" the first card (found it 30 years later) and used my full first name.

Don't know but I figure if mine is stolen and used by 50 people before I can get #SS, then the more in my account the better.

Gee I can take 5 years off work and the money is still coming in, sounds like a good deal to me.

I don't need two SS numbers to do that. Hell. I don't even need to be alive.

I have 2 numbers, although one is actually a Fed ID number I use for business. They look the same.

ERRRRR, seem to me he taxes would have been paid by the card holder using my #ss number.  Correct me if I am naive, please, but  just how the Hell does this work????

I did get yearly updates on just how much I had put into my #SS the dates and years I worked, how much money I could get per month were I to draw on it at age 62 to 70 or there abouts.

I have not received this accounting in the last year or so have no idea what my status is today.

I would be willing to bet that those using SS numbers belonging to someone else either claim 10 dependents or claim exempt. In both cases, you would owe taxes on their income. Most likely a penalty as well for filing late as the W-2's the IRS has doesn't match the W-2's you submitted.

Someone with a decent income could max out two accounts every year, and draw a double pension on retirement.
He could also go to federal prison.

Thanx for coverin' me Tuck! Your W4, when you fill it out, gives you a choice to be tax exempt. I thought everyone knew that.

Or, as happened in my case, an illegal used my SS #, his withholding went toward crediting my SS Account. I noticed this phenominum when my annual SS report showed up. I immediately investigated and eventually alerted Immigration, appaerently getting the illegal's butt run out of the country, but losing the small boost to my SS Account for the year and a half it went on.
