Why Voters Tune Out Democrats
New York Times

Quote
BARACK OBAMA can’t catch a break from the American public on the economy, even though he prevented a depression and saved global capitalism. >>>

It’s perplexing. When unemployment is high, and the rich are getting richer, you would think that voters of average means would flock to progressives, who are supposed to have their interests in mind — and who historically have delivered for them.

During the last half-century or so, when a Democratic president has led the country, people have tended to experience lower unemployment, less inequality and rising income compared with periods of Republican governance. >>>

0bama destroyed an economy in less than 2 years and Stanley wonders why folks turn away? What is this guy smoking? Or somebody check the air pollution index in NYC. The man appears to have inhaled something toxic.
Reagan bankrupted the Soviet Empire ...

Obama is bankrupting the American Republic

Some people are so intent on what the Dims are "supposed" to do...(make the poor wealthier)...that they are blind to the fact that it simply doesn't happen.

At best, the Dims get something like minimum wage hikes passed, which also causes prices on everything to rise, and leaves the poor just as poor as before.  At worst, they do something "for the public benefit" like raise luxury taxes, so the poor pay more for their smokes and drinks, or they start another entitlement program, with the ultimate result of more broken families and greater numbers of poor.

Now they are even actively working to destroy our energy sector, so our poor will be even less able to heat or cool their homes, even less able to keep gas in their cars...and given the latest demand upon Detroit, they will be even less able to purchase cars.

You'd think, at some point, all these oh-so-smart pundits and reporters would catch on to the fact that, far from looking out for the little guy, Dims actively work to shove more and more of them onto the Plantation, where they will do without the things they would have earned under a Republican majority.  Idiots.   :thatsright:

Oh it's Stanley Greenberg.  This is a guy who conducts his polls as if he were at the DUmp.  He only talks to fellow travelers in the echo chamber.  I'm paraphrasing here, and I skimmed rapidly, but he said in his shithead op-ed, that last November's sweep of Republicans was due to the fact that "the people" really wanted democrats. :mental:
