We presently have at least 22 republicans who are standing shoulder to shoulder with Marco Rubio. We need more like him and the 22 others to stand up to the RINO leadership and the demoncats in both houses of congress to keep from losing our country.

I think he did just ok against Kerry.  I can see the DU posting this stating the same thing -- watch Kerry take Rubio on. 

All and all it was a decent speech from the floor, but I don't necessarily think it was super inspiring.

Me too. Mr. Rubio comported himself very well in that situation. He's quite a sharp guy.

I personally believe Marco is indeed the real deal.  He ate their lunch in the debate.  What I fear of course is they will not take him, or any other conservative seriously until the votes are not there.  Then they will try to buy them off one by one.  I look for Marco to step up in 2016. 

As far as POS Kerry goes, there was no rebuttal to what Rubio said, the substance was very clear.  The libs have not presented a budget, nor has the president and he took them to taks for that, those are the facts and is indefensible.  Loved it when he quoted the president and vice president.  To me Kerry made an ass of himself and is to vain to even realize it.

Not bad for a freshman.  Not bad at all.

He did say one thing that disturbs me a bit and that was when he inferred that it is the government's responsibility to create jobs.  Because unless he is talking about creating even more government jobs, it is NOT the job of the US Government to create jobs.

If the Government would get the hell out of the way and stop passing laws, taxes and excessive regulations that actually give a disincentive for individuals and corporations to create jobs, the jobs would be created.

I seriously doubt he meant more govt jobs. I think what he means is govt needs to create and maintain an environment where job creation is possible. Which is the only way govt can create jobs, indirectly.

Hi,

I live in Florida and have followed Marco pretty closely.  It is my belief you are right on, he understands very clearly it is the private sector that is responsible for job creation.

I proudly voted for him last year. I'm not usually big on saying someone brand new to the scene should be President, but the way he handled himself and stayed on issue while Kerry tried to derail him impressed me greatly.

I was impressed with the speech. Parts of it sounded a little cliched, but all in all, it was hands-down the best set of words out of D.C. that I've heard in a long time.
