Conversation with friend who claims to be "conservative"
   
Talking about the debt ceiling. Talking about how broken things are in Washington.

She asked me what I thought and I said we needed a clean bill. Not paying our bills is unconstitutional.

I asked her what she thought. She said..."we need to withdraw from the UN". Long pregnant pause from me. I mustered up a question of "why"?

She really couldn't explain her answer....

So I ask - "can you tell me just what a communist is and how Obama fits that model?"

Give me one (non military) Federal Government success.

I define success as coming at, near, or under budget, and which actually does what the governemnt says it's going to do. Hell, even NASA, which was pretty darn successful, had been a money hole for decades.

It works fantastically well, when it's someone else's money and you're getting paid and otherwise rewarded for spending it...which is the flawed dynamic of the government that has us where we are today.
