If anyone knows how to retrieve this from the google, it's worth the effort. I just wasn't quick enough. In this post, nutcase nadin
described an e-mail she just sent to Speaker of the House John Boehner (they always used the full title when Bela Pelosi had it). She demanded that loopholes be closed (she rents a crappy condo by an expressway in San Diego, so has no mortgage interest), and excoriated him for protecting
the fatcats who are exporting jobs. The example she used was Lehman Brothers. She didn't know that Lehman Brothers collapsed three years ago! Apparently, one of her disciples immediately googled Lehman Brothers and sent her a PM. She deleted the post eight minutes after it first went up.

The world's foremost authority on finance was unaware of the most gigantic bankruptcy in the history of the world.

Moe was saved by Curly googling Lehman Brothers.

since it is childish behavior.

That's the full thread so far.  I tried to get the cache, but couldn't.

Com'n nadin, put your post back up, I'm sure it was great.  All you need to do is edit out Lehman Brothers and insert Bear Stearns.

Well, one of the moderators locked it now.

Not that it will make any difference... but just sent this to the Speaker

and for the Tea party to stop playing games. Yes we need to tax the top 2% and close all those damn loopholes. We also need to own to the debt that YOUR PARTY got us into during the eight years of the Bush Presidency.

STOP protecting and covering for the rich... they are not job creators, In fact, they have DESTROYED thousands upon thousands of jobs. My recent example is Lehman Brothers moving them to South East Asia...

It is also time to stop this bleeding of jobs.

Oh and Mr. Speaker where are the jobs? That is job number one, not this deficit created by your party.

From a different thread she shows off even more of her financial knowledge.

32. When T BIlls go up to 50% to atract investors
something similar happened to Carter and 30 year T Bills staid at 20+ for a few years. When it is that expensive for the US Government to get a loan. aka your T-Bills, it trickles down, no pun, to the rest of the loaning system. T-Bills are the floor by the way.

45. Oh, for ****s sake. The 30 year Treasury BOND (it isn't a "T-Bill") was NEVER at 20%
 under Carter.

Ever.

The highest yield for a 30 year Treasury Bond since 1977 was about 13.5% and it didn't last "for a few years".

Jesus H. Christ on a pogo stick.

http://www.federalreserve.gov/releases/h15/data.htm

Scroll down to "Treasury Constant Maturities" and to "30-Year" then click on the link to the far right - "Annual"

1977,7.75
1978,8.49
1979,9.28
1980,11.27
1981,13.45
1982,12.76
1983,11.18
1984,12.41
1985,10.79
1986,7.78

The above are YIELDS, not coupon rates, BTW. IN order to realize yield one has to either hold the bond to maturity or be able to sell at a premium to the price paid at such a point as to see a gain on an annual basis of the given percentage.

In other words, Nadin is wrong, once again, on her take on the US Treasury Bond market.

Smacked her so hard it should be considered assault.

48. BTW, it's the 10 year note that is used as the floor and not the 30...

50. Yeah but you know what I mean,
Edited on Wed Jul-27-11 01:58 AM by nadinbrzezinski
that is how the mechanism works... people have forgotten the early 1980s and how high interest rates were.

I haven't... but not for the same reasons most people do here.

Oh and I fear that in this case, WORST CASE, we will wish for 1980s rates.

I love how she just keeps getting off the mat and coming back for more.

I'm in awe. Nadin will be so pleased.

We'll definitely add this to her dossier.

And the letter had already been sent!   :rotf:  At least the other DUmpmonkies, when they want to write a letter, go to their fellow DUmmies and try and get them to do the work.  Weightlifter is infamous for doing that.

She's nothing if not relentless.  Relentessly stupid.
