Go ahead and believe what you believe. I don't care about my credibility here anymore because people like you blow stuff off and keep your head in the sand. By admitting I didn't have proof of him being bought off "this time" only means that it hasn't come out yet. It will. When it does, you will forget what I said or choose not to come back to it. That's okay.

As far as my ass handed to me, I have admitted every time when I was proven wrong. Other times it was just an opinion. You're still okay with opinions in America, right?

Oh, and never mind pulling your head out of the sand. Forget that. The government will do it for you. I thank you in advance for my future lack of freedom.

Your heart's in the right place, but you're way too excitable for your own good.  Dial it back a bit, and start using your BS filter on the sources you're inclined to agree with as well as the ones you doubt, and you'll be a much happier, well-rounded man.

Asking for proof and not just taking you at your word is keeping my "head in the sand"?  Uh, okay....

Whatever you say....

Spent 22 years of my life and a ton of permanent damage to my body making sure you had the freedom of your opinions and many, many other things, "unbiased".

You're breaking my heart, sugar.  What a crusher of a comeback....   :whatever:

Don't worry, "unbiased", the second generation to come out of my household is already standing the line and covering your ass.

No proof of Boehner taking bribes. Is there any truth to anything you post?

Did you watch the video of him admitting to taking bribes?

Gingrich regrets 2008 climate ad with Pelosi
By Michael O'Brien - 07/26/11 08:10 AM ET

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) said Tuesday that he regrets making a commercial with then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on the need to address climate change.

Gingrich, who partnered with Pelosi while she was Speaker for the 2008 ad, said the spot was "misconstrued," and for that reason, he wouldn't do it again.

"I was trying to make a point that we shouldn't be afraid to debate the left, even on the environment," Gingrich said on WGIR radio of the 30-second television commercial. "Obviously it was misconstrued, and it's probably one of those things I wouldn't do again."

That commercial has caused some difficulties for Gingrich in the Republican presidential primary. Pelosi is one of the most polarizing figures for primary voters, and the appearance of wanting to partner with such a political bogeyman has arguably hurt Gingrich with GOP voters.

Gingrich said in January that he "meant exactly what [he] said in that commercial," which was produced by the Alliance for Climate Protection, a nonprofit organization founded by former Vice President Al Gore (D). In the ad, Gingrich makes no endorsement of any policy solution, but says the "country must take action to address climate change."

Newt lost me after he caved to Clinton in 95.  Anybody that has their enemy on the ropes, quits, then plays nice with them, and makes a habit of sucking up to them is not the brightest bulb in the pack.

As far as his point being "misconstrued", well, I guess I'll just have to live with the knowledge that I'm too stupid to "get it" and I probably don't deserve his "leadership".

 :whatever:

So basically she turned him into a Newt...and he didn't get better

Thanks for the advice. But I don't think I am that excitable. I have been repeatedly called names. I have shown proof of Boehner, Rex 84, Agenda 21....but I am called a conspiracy theorist. I admit that I do get frustrated when people have evidence in front of them but refuse to look at it.

Wasp, I had a three paragraph response to your last post, but I guess I did something wrong because it isn't here anymore. The last paragraph was thanking you for your service.

None of this is personal to me. People can believe what they want. I just provided proven facts and was called names. I was asked to provide "more" info when someone didn't believe the first set of facts. I did that, too. Sorry if reality scares people.

As far as my own happiness goes, no need to worry. I am as happy as a guy could be. I am scared of our country's future because of apathy, but other than that I am good.

Since this thread is regarding climate change, I guess it was silly of me to expect you to support your statement re: Boehner taking bribes.

This thread has been off climate change for a loooong time and you know it. I am guessing you watched the video, didn't like what you saw and are chosing to believe that he would take a bribe once, but never again. Laughable, but hey, believe what you will.

Whether it's direct bribes, campaign donations, political favors, or whatever, that shit needs to stop. They need term limits so they can take their asses back to their districts and live with the consequences of their votes. When the nation was founded, a lot of this shit wouldn't happen because the politicians had their own land, wealth, etc. they had to protect. These days the assholes go to D.C. for the sole PURPOSE of enriching themselves and they've put measures in place to shield them from most of the shit that affects the American people. Do they pay SS? Don't they have their own retirement that, upon serving ONLY 2 terms, they get to collect on? Aren't they protected from insider trading laws as seen here? These assholes went from "representative" to nobles while we, the plebes, are stuck as f'n serfs. This shit needs to end.

Ain't that just the damn truth of it!
