What would a year with no taxes (and therefor no government services) look like?

I mean, after all. We're all told to hate taxes. So let's give it a whirl. What would the US look like if there was no government. Cuz we can't have a functioning government with no taxes, right.

First off, it would end those damned wars right quick, dontcha know.

Wanna fly? No problem. No federal tax. No air traffic control.

Cross your fingers while crossing that bridge.

Granny's sick? Gee, how sad.

House afire? Grab yer hoses, boys.

Stop! Thief! Hahahaha. Whatever.

By the way, there'd be no money, either. How long do you think those dollar bills last? Just sayin'.

Those welfare states would be in a state of hurt, huh? What welfare states, you ask? Well, they'd be the ones who get more in government handouts than they send in taxes. They know who they are. They all show up on the map in a bright shade of red.

What else? What else would we give up in return for no taxes?

Just sayin it would be wonderful.  :whatever:

Hey smelly clown dude, if you like taxes you're more than welcome to pay mine.
“Don’t vote for the person who tells you you deserve something. Just don’t do it if it’s something other than life, liberty, or the pursuit of possible happiness. If everyone is telling you you deserve something, vote for the one who is promising you the least. Be suspicious of the man or woman who tell you deserve everything. Because you don’t.” ---Mike Rowe

I don't know what is more sad, Dude thinking he is clever, or his fellow moonbats thinking how clever he is.

First of all dude, conservatives have never said that there should be zero taxes, that is a talking point that idiots like you make up, just like the claim that we think Saddam was behind 9-11.

Secondly dude, we support the govt fulfilling the duties outlined in the Constitution, nothing more, nothing less.

Thirdly dude, we think that taxes should be reasonable, not a burden, and any money that goes to taxes should be spent wisely.

Fourthly dude, you are an oxygen thief.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Dude!!!
You bombed already.
Take your smelly buffoonery elsewhere.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

We wouldn't have $900,000 gov't studies about the effect of penis size in relation to what position you take as a gay male,  or studies to find out what happens when you smoke pot and drink malt liquor at the same time, or studies about Chinese hookers and their use of booze.

Dude, you've mistake our concept of LIMITED government for one of NO government.  Please, we are not the latter--those are Ronulans.

Dude, seriously? :wtf2:

We don't object to paying some taxes that cover essential government services.  We just don't include free pot & free ponies as essential.

Wow, just how did humans make it to this point in history without some nanny gov't collecting taxes to hand out to various special interests and infrastructure?  The world may never know.

This demonstrates clearly just how poorly he considers what he says.  If there's no money, what does it matter what State you're in?  Are those in blue states really gonna say "Our world is falling apart, but those people in red states probably have it worse, so I feel better?"  Knowing certain whackos on the island, they just might.  Not that it would do them any good.

Problem is those of us who live in rural and surburban/rural areas know how to live off the land.  It's those in the cities who would be in for a world of hurt.

Yup, all they have to do is go to Compton.

In the real world?

It would mean that we would have to borrow an additional 52 cents for each dollar spent.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.
