I don't think there is any will to impeach Obama.

Hi,

Impeachment is an interesting possibility.  I doubt it would happen but then again starting the process could cause some of the democrats to get more flexible.  I doubt it would happen unless Obama totally ignored the Constitution and tried to raise the cieling or spend over the cieling without congressional approval.

If they did impeach him, would that make Biden the president? That wouldn't be good.

Hi,

Much like Nixon resigned, Agnew also did and congress appointed Gerald Ford president to finish the term rather than the speaker of the house which I never understood.

Right now I would take Biden, better have a rudderless idiot with no mandate to lead than a rudderless idiot, who thinks he has a mandate and is hell bent on destroying this nation.

If the current crapola about the debt ceiling doesn't get resolved, I think he'll just do it, and extend it until 2013, by presidential order.

Then the fireworks will erupt.

Well, that is a positive outlook. You're probably right, too. 2013 can't get here soon enough.

Actually, Agnew resigned in October 1973 as a condition of pleading no contest to a single charge of failure to report income.  Funny how not reporting income these days will only enhance your standing among the 'Rats, ain't it?  Ford was confirmed as VP in that month under the provisions of the 25th Amendment, given the fact that he was already House Minority Leader at the time and the Republicans basically gave Nixon no choice but to nominate Ford as VP.
