Taverner was always a raving loon and I have long predicted he'll resort to some desperate act of violence.

The cycle progresses as he reaches the despondency stage.

There never will be any change.
 Face it, we lost and we will continue to lose. It doesn't matter who we vote for, who we elect or what bills we pass. The Rupert Murdochs will still rule the world, and we will still obsess about pretty white girls.

This whole Murdoch scandal - it will blow over in a few weeks. Newscorp will wait until the media has found their new Scott Peterson or Casey Anthony, and Murdoch's Ginger Assasin will be pardoned and go back to her old job. Fox will continue to hack, and no one will care. The right people will just get paid off, and the Justice Department will go back to doing what they do best - arresting hippies for growing plants.

Obama tried - he really did. I don't blame him. But when you're playing chicken, it's not the good or smart guy who wins, it's the most psycho, most dangerous person who does. And that's why the GOP wins this one. They were willing to default. Hell, I think a bunch of them wanted us to default, that way they could get their Charles Dickens world they've wanted for so long. Obama made the mistake of caring, and going for the path of least pain. We all lose, but don't blame him.

And Obama will probably lose in 2012, Bachmann will be our President, and the media will gush about how 'statesmanlike' that sick deluded twat is.

And America will get worse and worse, until we reach complete joke status in the world, a bit like Argentina was under Peron. The GOP wanted our Social Security and they'll get it. They've wanted it for a while, and now they get it. They win.

Good guys do not, by the way, win. The bad guys do. Every time. The only thing that has ever saved us is our technology. Otherwise we'd be on a Prison Planet by now. Some say we already are.

No one will care because giving a shit is not sexy, it doesn't shift units.

And even on DU we will forget about all of this. We'll go back to making sure 'Ds' get elected, even if they are the antithesis of what we stand for.

When suicides bottom-out emotionally they are too weak to act. It is when they start to rebound they get dangerous. They get just enough spark to act but they are still so close to the bottom that what they act on isn't rising above what ails them but rather they commit their last energy to exiting with all finality.

If Taverner was just suicidal I'd be in more of a "meh" mindset but he is convinced that all his dope-smoking woes are the fault of other people. He may take the solo road or he may lash out at the hated others.

If Skinner is smart he would quietly submit Tav's IP to the authorities; they won't do anything but his lawyer will thank him.

Nah, he's just a severely addled intravenous drug addict and alcoholic.

I doubt he ever goes outside his Oakland ghetto hovel, except to score drugs.

That is because the dummies thought that as soon as obumble got in office he was gonna take all the money from the evil rich, have them frog marched to the labor camps, and redistribute the wealth to the parasites. They thought he was the Ossiah.

Well it didn't work out that way. Something happened to the American people along the way... they figured out that the dems were worse than the Reps and promptly threw the dems out on their ass in the US House and a bunch of state legislatures. Poor dummies... here they thought they had finally got their message out and was gonna have dem majorities for the next 100 years.

Well they were half right. They finally got their message out and it was not liked at all. Sucks to be them.

Now the obumble is tossing the dumpmonkies and their ilk under the bus trying to keep his job and they just can't stand it. Never mind the fact that come election day they will still vote for him... like an abused spouse. Sucks to be them.

I'd use the word "interesting," as in "May you live in interesting times."  It might even be violent in places (Philly where the Black Panthers are, for example).
