2. At the very least interest rates will go up exponentially

that is the least bad of the consequences.

Today a certain host in the financial channel suggested an IMF rescue package, where the nation looses quite a bit of independence. Given that happens everywhere else, I would not discount it.

At that point the austerity plan will force things like cuts in SS payments, privatiization of things like Amtrak, the firing of government workers, as well as freezing of salaries. Oh the end of certain subsidies and essentially the rape of the nation. This is based on IMF history everywhere else. As they say.. roost and birds.

Incidentally this also means the end of the USD as a reserve currency and of course of the American Empire.

Yes it could also lead to a wold wide depression.

Reality is... will be somewhere in between, my view closer to armageddon.

yada yada yada....

Welcome back Carter.

How I long for those 18% returns on a CDs.  Not to mention gas lines and numerous other shortages which his brain dead policies created.  But hey, he put leaky solar collectors on the White House roof by gum. :hammer:

Oh the end of certain subsidies and essentially the rape of the nation. This is based on IMF history everywhere else. As they say.. roost and birds.

Nutcase nadin needs to note that the United States contribution to the IMF is more than three times that of any other nation, and essentially the IMF does the bidding of the United States for that reason. The main purpose of the IMF is to give a few hundred corrupt politicians a chance to escape their third-world hellholes and move to Washington as IMF "executives". In that regard, it's very similar to the United Nations.

Nadin also needs to note that aside from Social Security payments, which will not be affected regardless, the rest of her "armageddon" would be welcomed by a large portion of the American electorate.

It is just another know-it-all rhetorical mishmash, though, since none of it will actually come to pass.

But more important, what about the milk? What about the radiation streaming across the Pacific onto the old growth forests?
And how about all the new democracies in the Middle East? Or Wisconsin? Radiation leaks in America? The total destruction of the Gulf of Mexico? Armed insurrection in the streets of America? Exploding ground water in Japan? Mass suicides among Japanese business leaders? Nadin promised us all this and more.

Nutcase nadin flits around from one armageddon to another so quickly, none of them ever gets resolved.

I don't think our language ever considered the need for a plural form of "armageddon". Is it "armageddons"? "Armageddi"? "Armagedda"?
Having them all hit us in the span of a single year is sort of exhausting. There really should be a limit of one armageddon per decade, but
nutcase nadin has given us four here in a single year, and we have five months to go. This could be a seven-armageddon year.

It's really strange, as well, that every one of these civilization-ending calamities is solely the fault of a soft-spoken retired fellow living
somewhere around Dallas, Texas. He once held great power, and when he did, everyone had a job, the economy was expanding, muzzies were
being killed at a record pace, and the world, in general was a happy place. Now he's retired, throwing out first pitches, writing memoirs, and staying out
of the public eye, but somehow is to blame for the disastrous results of his successor's blunders.

Someday, know-it-all nadin needs to get on the google, and explain it all to us.

I don't think anyone knows. It has never happened before. Bad things could happen like our credit rating getting downgraded, interest rates going up, markets falling, etc. Looks like the Repubs are going to lose the game of chicken and give Obama and the Democrats most of what they want because we have too many wimps in Congress.

I think it was the know-it-all's cutesy way of saying something about chickens coming home to roost. As far as we know at this point, the chickens have not become dangerously radioactive, so maybe it's a good thing. Nadin always keeps close tabs on radioactivity, you know.

Perhaps nadin can answer the age old question: which became radioactive first, the chicken or the egg?

According to the unemployable drunkard Will Pitt, it's a thing that was started by chants of U.S.A.! U.S.A! U.S.A.! at the Lake Placid
Olympics ice hockey final game in 1980.

The thing that does amaze me about leftists is that no matter how many times their predictions are proven wrong by reality it just doesn't affect them.  They will continue on with their incorrect prognosticating thinking they all seeing.  That is some kind of mental disease they have and nadainthebrain exemplifies it.

I do wonder how that retired navy submarine captain is doing.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Probably still hauling canned milk out to his truck, and giving knowing nods to moonbats he meets in the store.

The reason, sir, is that the DUmbasses think that if they had been/are in charge, it will get done in a way that everyone benefits.  Of course, they can't understand that the ****ing premise is flawed to begin with.

What, exactly, should happen is the Democrats actually sit down and work out a budget that fits within the government revenue...just like everyone does.

Budgets are for little people.  The government has been operating for, what, over 800 days without a budget?  A mere pittance.
