cut off spending to all GOP districts

if there is no debt increase Obama should cut off all payment to every GOP district after all they are the ones demanding spending cuts so cut spending in their districts to zero. lets see how happy rethug voters will be when its them that have to bear teh brunt of cuts.

and I mean cut off ALL spending to those districts. no SS,no medicare,no nothing.. they want spending cuts, let them have them

We out here in Red State Hell would buy this in a second.

It would mean we wouldn't have to send any of our money to Washington, too.

I'd go for it.

1. I live in a fricking GOP district.

My husband gets SS, too.

We can get by. We have other resources. Some of my neighbors do not.

I think we are all going to have to suffer equally.

Besides, we do not like it when employers use the threat of job cuts to hurt workers and unions. We shout that it is extortion. and illegal.

This is too much like extortion for my tastes.

And yet the Muriel Humphrey primitive votes for the party of extortion.....

2. Thats good shit!

You should email your congressperson about that.

And the next time these GOPers start whining about spending, he can ask them if they would like to give back the money that went to their district.

It's always hilarious whenever they float ideas like this, which they love to do from time to time.  They never think of one step after that.  What happens then?  You parents out there....what age level thinking does this resemble?  Two years old?

From the thread, where someone blathers on and on for 1000 pages about not redistributing wealth between states:

People can live in a low tax state and take their chances.

This sounds like the threads where the DUmmies wanted to defund the White House during Bush's presidency.

The thing is that people are making that choice.  That's one reason that Texas is gaining four congressional seats and states like New York are losing seats.

Sounds like somebody was asleep in Civics when the teacher talked about the 'Equal Protection' clause of hte 14th Amendment...or more likely toking up in the parking lot.

If the red states get to keep all the money that is sent to WDC that would be OK with me. As we have seen there is no SS trust fund, that money is long gone to the great society. SS is being paid out of current funds. I think if the 15.6% right off the top of everybody's salaries went to the red state capital instead of WDC, the feds would collapse the next month.  Throw in the income tax, the corporate tax, the regulatory fees,... and it would collapse in a week.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Most Americans live in GOP districts now.
Those of us who endure the horrors of red state hell are no longer in the minority.

Oh didn't you hear?  Eric Holder crumpled that up and threw it away a long time ago.

Laughable at best.
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

Let us keep our money, minus our pro-rated share of anything listed in Article 1, Section 8 or subsequent amendment and it's a deal.

I seem to recall Harry Reid a few months back, saying it was crazy talk that SS was in trouble, he claimed SS had tons of money. So if what Dingy Harry says, is true then why should the debt ceiling affect SS one iota? SS is supposed to be a self sufficient program, that is why we get hit with that SS tax on our checks, instead of all the money just going to federal taxes. Is 0bama admitting that SS is really in trouble? Of course he isn't, he's using this tactic to scare the hell out of people and hoping like hell he can pin this on the republicans. When in reality if SS checks do not get sent out, it will be his call. There is enough revenue to pay for SS and lots of other things without raising the debt ceiling one penny. If the debt ceiling doesn't get raised, for once the govt will be forced to live within its means.

As for this morons bright idea, I love how they bitch and moan about how republicans are dictators, then they want the democrats to do things like this. Goes to show they don't hate the idea of a dictator, they just want that dictator to have a D by his name. Just like the filler buster, they whined and cried every time the dems didn't do one, then if the GOP even thinks about it for a fraction of a second they want the rules changed to keep them from doing so.
 :mental:
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

And I want an ITEMIZED bill for all of the Art. I, Sect. 8 line items I owe on.  I reserve the right to reject line items that don't meet that criteria.
