OMG! they had CNN on in the restaurant we went to

We went to the movies this afternoon and stopped at a Restaurant, the place had 4 TV's on the wall, 2 were tuned to CNN, 1 was tuned to a kids channel, and 1 was tuned to ESPN.

So we're waiting for our order and I'm looking around and to my horror I see CNN is on 2 TV's, I'm salivating at the thought of CNN being on and not Fox, so I stand up and go stomping off to the section of the restaurant where your orders are when they're ready and I.......................pick up my food and realize my salivating was just the thought of having a nice grilled burger. :-)

No screaming involved, no demanding the channel be changed, no political discussion at all.

Sunday was the wife's birthday so I took her out to eat. Same thing happened to me, CNN was on the tube. It cost the restaurant because I had the "all-u-can-eat" bar and instead of watching FOX NEWS, I was steady eating..... :-)....burp.

SPELL CHECKER IS A DEMOCRAT!!!! Where I have "all-u-can-eat" spell check wanted to substitute "allocate"....sounds like a democrat way of saying "That all you get, dude", to me.

Personally I wouldn't care if I went to a restaurant and they were playing Keef on Current TV 24/7. I would just have to look away as I ate.  :-)

I've been to a lot of restaurant/bars over the years, and the only thing I pay attention to is sports.  If CNN/Fox/MSNBC were on, I couldn't care less.  Except to make up a bouncy story!  :-)

I have seen pretty much everything on televisions in shops/restaurants etc I have gone to, and I could care less. Hell, I have even seen one that kept MSNBC on.. Granted, they went out of business since then but I'm sure the TV had nothing to do with that...

I couldn't tell it was CNN at 1st, I thought it was MSNBC or CNBC, then I saw Wolff Blitzer and realized what station it was.

They had CNN on when we went to Applebee's this past weekend.  I wanted to think of some silly story to tell, but just couldn't come up with one.  Next time I should throw my drink across the restaurant and demand FOX news be shown.

Not bad - but its not stereotypically 'conservative' enough. Maybe you should make the story about how you pulled out a 9mm and 'turned off' the TV with it. And as you storm off, make sure you steal every tip left on every table. I mean, that's how a DUmmy would tell the story about you, so you might as well beat them to it.

On a sort of related note, I just discovered that we have algore's current tee vee on our cable.
I didn't throw a fit or call up comcast and complain, I just chuckled over it.
I looked through the listings and Keef is on like every 3 hours.  :rotf:
