Thor, Iassa, Dallas area peeps ....
« on: July 09, 2011, 05:03:30 PM »
I've got a friend in the Dallas area I'm going to ride up to see next Saturday (the 16th).  He said they have some kind of get together at something called 'The Spacehip' (?) he's going to Saturday night and wanted to know if I could go.

So, I'll be in the Dallas area Saturday night at this place if any of y'all want to have an impromptu meet up.

Lemme know so I'll be watching for you.

I may have to ask him again.  I might have misunderstood him.  If you can make it I'll let you know where it is.

There ya go!  LOL  I knew I would get it wrong.  I didn't know there was more than one.  Hmmmm.  I'll have to find out which one I guess then if y'all (or anyone who wants to go) can make it I'll let you know where we're going to be.

Yeah, that's what he said.  Like 100 different beers on tap or something.  Too bad you won't be back, I would love to meet you and your husband.

I'm going to ride up there early Saturday morning then he knows some roads he said were 'decent' to ride then we're supposed to end up at the Flying Saucer.  I was hoping to make a weekend run to Leakey but he can't go there so I'm going to Dallas.

More than likely, it will depend on where he lives.  It will probably be Addison, or Garland, by Lake Ray Hubbard.  Unless he lives in Arlington, or Ft Worth, and it just gets lumped in with Dallas.  Maybe Mike can join too!

I don't care who comes.  I couldn't remember who all lived up that way.

I asked him about it and he said Dallas.  We're supposed to ride around some lake up there.  I don't know if it's Ray Hubbard or not.  I'll get some more info from him and put it here.

Doubt it. I work Saturday nights until 1030. But it's worth it to having my Saturday mornings off for Shabbat.  O-)

Ok, I talked to my friend.  He said he doesn't know if the Flying Saucer we're going to is going to be in Garland or Rockwall, he couldn't tell but he said it is on Lake Ray Hubbard.

So, anyone who wants to meet up I'll be at this place this coming Saturday night.  If you think you might be able to make it PM me and I'll give you my cell number so you can find out what time we're going to be there.

Adios!

I am so sorry, I meant to get on line and let you know.  I was in Rockport at a funeral.  That place sure is trouble, isn't it?

Not a problem.  I figured if anyone could make it then great and if they couldn't well .... it was short notice and people have lives.

The Flying Saucer was a very interesting place.  I got off rather cheap.  $27 including tip.  I think getting up at 5:00 am and riding to Fourney then going back to almost Ft. Worth to the Harley Dealer then back to Fourney took a toll on me.

I'm getting old.
