I remember when that white, republican mayor of NOLA sent those school buses downtown marked 'White Only' to pick them up before the storm.  Damn racist hurricane.

A friend of mine got laid off, well the company went tits up. He has an EBT (food stamp) card. He is white. When he uses it and a mexican or black is at the checkout, he gets disgusted faces and once had the cashier tell him that food stamps aren't for white people.

Prominent DUmpmonkey lonestarnot, who by the way is also a leading DUmp proponent of the MIHOP theory, reported after the storm seeing trees in Galveston literally festooned with dangling human corpses. The untold thousands of Galveston fatalities were hidden by the Bush Administration because 2008 was an election year.

I forgot about that.  Me and Servonaut (RIP) were staying in touch back and forth during Ike.  I remember her talking about the 'bodies' in the trees and getting pissed off.

Ike was bad but it was handled a whole lot better than Katrina.  Different cultures and politics.  Galveston was back up for business the next summer.

There was some DUmmie down by Galveston too ... he was getting pissed about all the lies DU was spewing about the hurricane too.  Was it Jefferson's Ghost?  I can't remember.
