A Macomb County Jail inmate and admitted pedophile has filed a federal lawsuit claiming he is the victim of cruel and unusual punishment because the facility will not allow prisoners access to pornographic materials behind bars.....

......Richards, who claims in court papers that he suffers from chronic masturbation syndrome, asked a federal judge to allow him access to the pornographic materials along with other entertainment such as personal televisions, video games and radios.

From the just when you've thought you've heard it all dept.

Liberals believe the prisoners need mental stimulation.    Well why not, they are not going anywhere so why not as they will never get outside the prison walls in their life not give them all the stuff they will never get again.?????

This just may keep the prisoners quit and subservient, --No problem for the prison guards, no reason to riot or get any part of frustration -------Keep the Gay vidios and the hetrosexual movies coming on--
life is odd.

I'd rather see them aggressive and accidentally killed while trying to subdue them or squelch the riot..

How long do you think it'll be before we start seeing TV ads for drugs to treat "CMS".
The final scene might be from behind a guy sitting in a single old-fashioned bathtub, watching a sunset.

I seriously doubt that.  This isn't the first dipshit in prison with nothing but time and a spurious idea for a prisoner  lawsuit.  There's a pretty well-established body of case law on these BS claims.

Didn't they ban the sale of "men's magazines" on military bases, or did that get shot down?  Why should criminals be granted something that military personnel are denied?

chronic masturbation syndrome
It's called being a 21-year-old male.

There are remedies for that but I don't think he'd like them.

Probably just a different interpretation of the 2nd amendment:

The right to bare arms, and implied bare legs, bootie, etc.

So the COB and XO on a boat on the Pearl waterfront banned porn on board (yeah, that went over real well as you can imagine) but prisoners can sue to get it?

Nothing surprises me anymore.  Nothing.

"Suing" and "Winning" are two entirely different things.

Prisoners have vast amounts of time on their hands and unfettered access to the courts to sue over any stupid shit they feel like under habeus corpus or any 1st/5th/8th/14th Amendment formulations they can cook up, including inventing a religion requiring them to eat steak at least once a week (Really).  Some percentage of them really does expect to get what they're suing for, but a majority of them just do it to screw with the prison administration and get the odd change of scene for their infrequent court appearances.  It doesn't cost them anything, since being prisoners the State and Fed courts pretty much don't have any choice but to waive all the filing fees or else get themselves in an actual violation for denying access to the courts.

The vast majority of these cases get nowhere, they just waste a lot of resources in the process of getting there.

Just let the other prisoners know who "short eyes" is............problem solved.
