PA Democrat Primary Thread (and betting pool)
« on: April 22, 2008, 02:44:30 PM »
I don't see any exit polls being leaked yet, but I will go ahead an predict that hillary
wins 55%-45%*, thereby preserving her candidacy to pump torpedoes into The
BarackStar! until at least the indiana primary.

*unless philadelphia mysteriously waits until the entire rest of the state has been counted,
and suddenly shows up with just enough votes to put The BarackStar! ahead.

Messalina Agrippina, in a walk.

It'll be at least a 10-point margin, but maybe even more.

I have to agree.  It will be interesting if mrs. clinton gets less than 10% (maybe 8?).

I will be disappointed in Operation Chaos if her margin is less than 10, though.

By the way, Wretched Excess, sir, if I'm right, and Messalina Agrippina wins by 10+%, can I have a new color of stars?

Either Nebraska red or royal purple would be fine, if they aren't already taken.

If it's no problem.

The best bets are the ones where you have to put up a sig or an avatar or something like that for a specified period.

That has some currency in the boards, IMHO.

I'm not sure that stars is practical, but how about 50 (or so) High5s to the one that is the closest?

Yeah, I was kidding about the stars, though.

I'm no interior decorator, and green is fine.

Some sort of prize along the lines of 50 high-5s would be appropriate as a prize, though, to whoever gets the closest.  I'm still sticking with Messalina Agrippina 55%, Barry "Goldwater" Obama 45%.

extremely heavy turnout reported in PA, especially philly.  conventional wisdom says that heavy turnout only works in favor of The BarackStar!, but I'm not so sure about that.

OK, we need a pool grid of some kind.  And rules -- if people are equidistant does the lower or higher win?
Since this started with 55/45 in favor of mrs. cinton, I hereby predict 55.5/44.5 also in favor of the communistic bitch.

Voted in the republican primary today.  :whatever: Huck was still on the ticket, along with some fellow with two first names....JohnPeter? BarryJim? RonPaul? I forget.

I'm feeling a 9 percent win for Hillary on the D side, and a significant margin of victory for McCain.  :-)

Hillary is out of money. So I'm hoping for a BIG win. Forcing her to raise and waste more money. Obama spent 3 times as much molaah, and its not done a thing for him.

I will settle for even a close win for the witch, as it will only whet her ambitions and feed Operation Chaos.

How does one just give it to her when only 12% has reported in and she only holds a small lead?

So will Barackstar! start screaming that he's the candiate anyway? He pretty much said so on CNN earlier. He arrogantly told a group of reporters...."WHEN I'm the nominee....." Mathmatically, he's ahead in delegates and overall contests. I really haven't taken the time to study the inner workings of the Democratic system. Are they gonna go on Pay Per View and duke it out? :-) Cuz, I'd probably buy it.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle
