I could knock $70 off of that by accepting a large deductible. The $70 a month adds up to less than the deductible, which I know I'll use, so I pretty much have to go with the higher premium since it would actually save me money.

WTF happens if they start doing this every year?

In my case, I have enough medical expenses each month that not having insurance would only save me a small amount, and would leave me vulnerable to major problems.

We need single payer. With the current Pennsylvania government I won't see it happen here anytime soon.

I currently have my own plan. My employer is going to be discussing a raise with me on Tuesday, so I'm going to see if he can get the insurance for me. I would gladly take employer supplied insurance in lieu of raise. Simply not having to pay even what I currently pay each month would be equivalent to a generous raise.

But whoever's paying for it, me or my employer, if it starts going up this much every year it;ll quickly become undoable.

I could have sworn that a certain President swore up and down that health care costs were going to go down by 3000% and that our employers would give us all a nice raise.

Looks like the Affordable Health Care Act may not be working.  :-)

1. Well, don't get a disease for the next five years or so.

Because Obama won't make it better, and the Republicans would make it worse. So we have a long, long wait.

How could the Republicans make it any worse than the democrats made it?

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

You know, I remember that too.

I don't know how anyone could have forgotten that, it was plastered all over the place, just like when Bachmann or Palin misspeak, oh wait it wasn't if it weren't for conservative bloggers and "hate radio" I would have been like most of the public and never known that he said that.

Thank god DUmmies health insurance only went down 3,000%.
Otherwise DUmmie couldn't afford it.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

They still won't blame Obama or the democrats and somehow blame it on republicans.  Instead, they just say we need to go further with single payer.  And people who are smart (unlike our DUmmie friends) know that would be even worse.

There's a reason we call them DUmmies.  Tell me DUmmies, how does it feel to be a useful idiot?

Whether you will admit it or not, Obama and the democrats are using you for your votes.  They couldn't care less about you.

I never bothered to argue with my kiwi ex gf about socialized medicine. The fact that she still went out a got private insurance and went to a private doctor so she wouldn't have to wait 8 months for a biopsy pretty much made my point tho she tried to pretend it didn't matter.

She was damn lucky to even still have that option.

If the DUmmy would look at the little sheet that came with my 25% raise in premiums it would see that it was due to provisions in (we have to pass it to know what is in it) obama hellcare.

Obama lied flat out lied.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I have no idea what the muslim's plan is, but Hillarycare would have made that illegal.
