There apparently was a soccer game this weekend between the U.S. and Mexico. The DUmp is all atwitter.
Grown men who can speak English without an accent sound like gay pride paraders when they discuss soccer like it's a real sport.

Why so much whining after Mexico beat the US at the Gold Cup
the CONCACAF championship. Geez the US led 2-0 and Mexico won 4-2.
That poor defense not politics. All the cussing about the award ceremony in Spanish (in the US) is useless. Mexico played the better football.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=215x181711Don't get me wrong. Soccer is a great sport for little girls, and for boys who want a varsity letter, but are afraid to take a hit. But it's still pure eurotrash to call soccer "football".

1. Meh. They whine just as badly when we win.
That's just part and parcel of a rivalry as fierce as we have. For the time those two teams are on the pitch I'm the most rabid nationalist on Earth.
Yes, "pitch". That's eurotrash for "field". It's like "nil" is eurotrash for "nothing".

27. Is there a link?
I'm going through articles about 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup and not finding any type of Bryan Stow incidents related to it.
Yeah, where is my file of 2007 Gold Cup articles?
Actually, in the mid-70s, I could have bought a brand new Gold Cup in the box, for under $300. At the time, that was a mountain of money to me, and I had to pass. I've whined about that for the last 20 years.

5. Our back line was terrible.
If losing Cherundolo can kill us that badly then we need to rethink our entire defensive lineup.
I always said that losing Chrudndoldolo would kill us. What a guy!
Wait...who is Cherundosodolo?

4. I doubt 98% of Americans care... I certainly don't
Soccer has and always will be a minor sport here. Like the vast majority of the sports public if isn't football, baseball or basketball I'm not interested.
Soccer would have to triple in popularity before I could even reach the level of not caring. You have to be aware something exists before you can choose to not care about it. And DUmmy Mudoria is a lousy freeper troll. Soccer is eurotrash, which means it's superior to anything American.

6. True. Hockey is decent enough though, it is pretty fun to watch.
Actually, no. The only difference is hockey's a Chinese fire drill on ice, with white guys, and you can't see the ball. Or whatever they call it.

7. What is the 'Gold Cup'? CONCACAF?
I assume it is sports if there is whining and that is why I skip sports as a rule. This is about a sport?
A Gold Cup is a hell of a nice Colt .45 pistol. I have no idea what CONCFAF is.

8. It wasn't one of Tim Howard's better games....
I mean, what was he doing coming out of his net and flopping around on that 4th goal?
Soccer players are always flopping around.
And that Tim Howard is just a douchenozzle.
Wait..who is Tim Howard?
Honestly, though, in a Chinese fire drill, how do you tell that one guy is better than another?

22. Absolutely right.
Actually, both teams' defense was atrocious...the US was just that much worse in that regard.
I noticed that. The American Chinese fire drill was much worse than the Mexican Chinese fire drill.

Bornstein is a horrible defender, Mexico exploited him all day.
Yes, that Bornstein is a douchenozzle.
Wait..who is Bornstein?
