Why the Right-Wing Is Frantic: More Minority Babies Than White Babies Now Born in America

It's white, Christian America's race against what they see as a demographic time bomb.

That is why this Associated Press (AP) headline strikes an anxious fear in so many US citizens who believe in white "American Exceptionalism": "Census Shows Whites Lose US Majority Among Babies."

BuzzFlash at Truthout has commented about this trend before and why it is part of the frenetic offensive against democracy that we see taking place, including an onslaught of state efforts to restrict voting in a way that will disproportionately disenfranchise the elderly, the disabled, the poor, minorities and students.

Many BuzzFlash critics have emailed us about this subject over the years. Most often, their contention is that America is a republic not a democracy. Although this has some implications in the argument over states' rights versus the federal government, it usually is offered in the context of asserting that only certain Americans should elect the government.

"Certain Americans" in this context, we infer, means white, Christian voters with a relatively good income.

Yeah that explains why the right wing is pushing for abortion to be legal in any circumstance, when African Americans are the most likely to abort.

Yep once we discover that abortion will reduce the black population we will be for abortion. 
I refuse to use the term pro choice, since the left is not pro choice they are pro abortion.

14. Maybe 10 years ago I was having a discussion about abortion...
   
with some co-workers. I remember clearly saying that I thought that anti-abortionists could be viewed as racists, because there were more white women having abortions than there were minority women. Further that anti-abortionists were afraid of this demographic occurring.

Now I know I'll get nailed by some DU'ers out there, who are anti-abortionists, but not racist. However, I think that the anti-abortion movement should be looked at with the view I have expressed.

My God that makes as much sense as claiming one is racist because they prefer Pepsi over Coke.

So let's do what China does and limit everyone to one child.

As I recall, it's the right putting up billboards advertising the fact that a larger percentage of black and brown babies are aborted...and the left that gets angry and demands the removal of those "racist" ads.  It's the right that supports Pregnancy Centers where pregnant women can get pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, counseling, and the help they need to keep their babies...and the left that supports centers that perform only abortions.  It's the right that hope to change government policy to start strengthen the black family unit again...and the left that supports slums, lousy schools, drug dealers, murderers, and the complete destruction of the family.

All in all, it kinda looks more like the left is frantic because the minorities are starting to look around the Plantation and decide they want their freedom again.

Also I know a lot of Hispanics that are conservative, especially those that have their own businesses, add to that those of Asian descent, do the Democrats really think a majority minority in this Country will benefit them? If the growth was taking place in extreme numbers in the black community then I'd say yes, but because of abortion and blacks being incarcerated in high numbers their growth is stagnant. The Republican Party will benefit the most from a rise in minorities in particular conservative Hispanics, Indians and those from Countries like South Korea, China etc.

In 2008, McCain got 4% of the black vote. I'd be shocked with better than 10% even if Cain is the nominee - and his chance of nomination is slim.

Until the black community starts to look inward we're never going to get their votes. I say pay attention to other minority groups.

Yep, a lot of those minority groups are natural conservatives.  Hopefully the Republicans can find some way to get that across to them.

The problem is getting some groups convinced that they or their parents and grand parents voted with their feet for freedom.  It means telling them the Mexican Elite and the democrats are using them.  A lot aren't going to want to hear that initially.

I've known several Cubans who came here as refugees in the 1960s. They are to the right of me. Their hatred for Fidel translates into hatred for any leftist idea or politician, and they are American citizens. There are a million of them in Dade County alone. I don't think Republicans would have a chance in Florida without the conservative Cuban-Americans.

I guess they're all Hispanic, but Mexicans and Cubans are as politically similar as cats and dogs.
