I'm sure of it.

He was never a drinker. His thing was pot. Unfortunately, the company he worked for tested for it so he had to stop smoking. For some reason, he got into alcohol.

That was the beginning of the end for him.

It didn't take as long as it usually does. We found out from a doctor that the gastric bypass he had nearly ten years ago exacerbated the effects of the alcohol. It only took about three or four years. The last two were hell. On him...on his children...on the rest of the family.

He died very miserably this past February, at the age of 40. In horrible, awful pain. My baby brother.

The substance that killed him in less than five years? Legal. Drink all you want on weekends or after work. Nobody at the company cared.

The substance that he smoked for over 20 years with no ill effects? Yeah. Use it and get fired.

Now he's dead.

I hope pot opponents are ****ing happy.

Where do they get this idea that marijuana is "non-addictive"?

Nearly everybody I know used it to one degree or another, at one time or another.

However.

There were some who fell into a sort of abyss where they liked pot, and preferred the feeling it gave them, to doing things in real life.  They became lethargic, apathetic, didn't care.

And their lives went downward.

How does living only to smoke dope not "addictive"?

This inquiring mind wants to know.

I think what they mean is no physical addiction, like if you try to quit cigarettes your body craves the nicotine.

There was no citation at the DUmp so I have no clue where this came from. My guess is some pot head created it and sent it out.

I'm sure the chart was taken from a Co-op where the pot heads get their "medicine".
You'll notice that ANY exposé in the media about marijuana always uses the term "medicine".

It's all complete bullshit. When you look at the percentage of the population (1%) that might possibly (the jury is still out, well, not really, no medical benefit has been found for smoking dope except for giving cancer patients the munchies) it's just college students that want some 420 on every street corner.
