You hit him where it hurt...in his airconditioning/heating/lighting.
For 25 years I did whitewater canoeing. Used to run into the back to nature freaks that didn't want to dam the rivers, etc...blah blah blah. I would listen to them bitch while we were sitting by the dry river bed waiting for the lunch time power demand and the release of water through the turbines. If it weren't for hydro, we wouldn't have had enough water in the river to get out feet wet much less to do some whitewater paddling....
....and everyone damn one of them that I ever asked had left the airconditioner running in their empty homes/apartments while they spent their weekend in the mountains. Hey, that place better be damn well cold when they got home.
...and after a day on the river in the campground, those same people would be having their favorite alcoholic beverage and telling me that if I would give up meat, we could feed the world with that grain. They never thought about the fact that their alcoholic beverages had been made from the very finest grains grown and my meat was fed on the substandard, not fit for human consumption, grain....
