Oh my.

Okay, this is an old campfire, and no primitive showed up to answer the question.

As most of us know, the worthless freeloading bum the wily primitive is the primitive who was building an ark in the mountains and forests of Tennessee, with the hopes of floating it out into the ocean, and collecting his social security disability gravy off-shore.

Then he had difficulties with drugs and with his landlord.  So he had to give up the idea of the ark.

He decided to move to California, where one of his sons lives--the wily primitive's notorious for having scattered his seed among hippiewomen during the 1960s and 1970s, and has always been hiding out because the child-support people want to, uh, visit him.  The son made no response to his errant paternal ancestor, but the worthless freeloading bum the wily primitive ostensibly moved to California anyway.

I'm moving from TN to CA and don't think my Keltec sub-2000 can go

It's the 40 cal Keltec Sub 2000 folding carbine that uses Glock magazines. I have 1 10 rd and 2 15 rd. magazines. but it doesn't have anything else not allowed except removable magazines.

I love it and it's perfect for my sailboat and extremely accurate to 50 yds (all 15 in the center black spot in the center of the target. At 100 yds, it's accurate enough when aiming at center body mass.

Is it legal to take it to CA.

Should I trade it for a glock 40 cal pistol before I go?

What do I do when I cross the border in a penski truck? Does it have to be registered just to possess it? All we have in TN in a sales slip.

Do I declare it at thje border , then they hold it until I get it registered?

What is the procedure?

Any Californicators in here?

I believe California requires fixed 10-round magazines, at least on rifles.  You're not allowed anything more.

Did anyone else hear Ralphie Parker's voice describing his beloved Red Ryder BB gun when reading this?

What about .22s with tubular magazines? They all hold at least 14-15 LRs, maybe 20-25 shorts.
Surely even in California, .22 rifles are still legal.

$125 . . .

I've wanted a Kel Tec for some time.  I like the folding aspect.  Though, I'd prefer one in 9mm--the ammo is quite a bit cheaper.

Oh--Coach, you might want to look at this:

It's not a pistol . . .

Well, you do have an advantage there . . . 155 grain or 180 grain?  W-W or Federal, or Remington?

Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

Is this an open bid for the fire arm?????

If so I go with $175, if it has full history.

If by that you mean a paper trail, no can do. TN is cash and carry unless you buy it at a gun shop.

While stationed there, the great state of California required the registration of my .22 long rifle...as it is illegal for residents to own. They have some strange laws on how the military can keep their weapons, as long as they are not residents of the state.
