Is the Race Card Dead?
« on: June 24, 2011, 06:26:18 AM »
Is it even effective any more?

Its been used SO much in the last two years. Opposition to Obama care is racist. Dissent is racist. The Tea Party is racist. Conservatives are all racist. Socialism is a racist code-word.
You just know any serious look at O's established record in the next election will be racist.

Its been over-used and abused to the point of being ridiculous. And it didn't stop the Tea Party or the rout of November 2010. Everyone makes fun of the First Lady's Walmart/wanna-be-Jackie-O-look...with impunity.

Does the race card have any teeth in it anymore?

Yes it is very effective still. Some people might have wised up but there will always be a huge segment of the population, especially the young and the self declared discriminated against, who will ALWAYS shut down the objective part of their brains when the card is played. If not for the race card Obama would not be high as he is now in the polls.

I think as the Big Zero and his supporters get more and more desperate, we're going to see the race card played more and more, and it's going to be played in sillier ways.

But as it's been overused, while it may be more intense, it'll be less effective.

I don't think it's too effective any more, but it is alive and well in the brains of lib weirdos. Like the one in the white mosque.

As for me, it just gives me ammo to attack the race baiter who uses it.

Lots of people are sobering up to realize that they made a different type history than they had intended when they voted to prove they were not racist in the last election.  Here is an email I received that has been going around:

Quote
The best line I ever heard was from a shop  foreman at the old Republic
Steel when this young black kid was being reprimanded for the last time.

The black youth said to the shop  foreman:  "You're firing me because I'm
 black!"

The boss said, "No, we hired you because you were black.  We're firing you
 because you are  useless!"

Remember this when you vote in  2012!

How did that famous Black Republican's quote go?

Quote

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they  will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.
Martin Luther King, Jr.

And so I ask how does one judge the character of BO?  By his tweets we shall know him?

Doesn't work on me. I know how to combat against it.

See, the Dems have painted themselves into a corner. I.e.

Me: "I'm sick and tired of inner-city thugs jacking cars and killing people!"

DUmbass: "That's RACIST!"

Me: "Wait, am I to assume you believe all black people are inner-city thugs? Are out jacking people?"

DUmbass: "No, but you're talking about black people!"

Me: "No, I'm talking about a certain group in a certain area."

DUmbass: "Well, they're still black!"

Me: "And? Rednecks are a certain group as well, but I wouldn't classify Bill Gates as a redneck. Would you?"

DUmbass: Well, but it's still racist!"

Me: "How? Racism is the inherent belief that one race is superior to another. Have I trashed black doctors? Black engineers? My black neighbors in my well-to-do neighborhood?"

DUmbass: "No, but you're talking about 'inner city', everyone knows that's code for 'black'!"

Me: "Hmm, how so? Are you saying blacks only deserve to live in the inner city? Why is that?"

DUmbass: "No, that's not what I'm saying! I'm saying there are black people in the inner city!"

Me: "There are no white people in the inner city?"

DUmbass: "Well, yeah, but...."

Me: "Yeah but what?"

DUmbass: "But they're not what the inner city really is."

Me: "Oh, do tell, are they not supposed to be there? Are the inner cities reserved for black people? How?"

DUmbass: "No, that's not what I'm saying!"

Me: "Then what are you saying?"

DUmbass: "shutup! You're a rethugligan racist!"

{Overheard later in the day: "I had a conversation with a Rethug today and called him a racist! Everyone cheered, including the cop that jumped out of the bushes who told me he wishes he could arrest rethuglicans!"}

Liberals don't understand that when they claim racist, they're really being the racists because they assume ALL black people are alike, think alike, and damn it, should have the same beliefs. They're sheep to liberals. Might as well at the cattle troughs waiting for their feed. That's liberalism for you.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

Great post Rebel, truly inspired logical argument and discourse.  It would of course require clean up of 'splodin heads, but then, where's the harm in that?
