Will we ever have another FDR ?

Under what conditions would a leader such as FDR emerge?

What type of conditions would poor people have to suffer to get the attention of such a leader? What type of unemployment would justify jobs programs like the WPA or the CCC? Does money in the hands of those that will spend it create jobs? How so?

What type of Democrat could get passionate about the conditions facing the American people the same way that Roosevelt did? Yes, there were desperate people back then. But there are desperate people now. Just because we don't see them every day does not mean they are not there. They are.

Why was FDR so revered by so many Democrats from those times?

I thought Obozo was the new FDR? Make up your mind.

He's anything they need him to be at any given moment...

...but he's no F.D.R., no J.F.K., no Jumping Jack Flash or L.L. Cool J. He's just Barry, whatever that means.

What's kentuck got against Japanese-Americans?
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

We need another Reagan.
He was the total package, on one hand his policies were rock solid, on the other hand the psychological affect he had on Americans helped big time. We need a president who reminds us of how exceptional this country is and how we can return our country to the greatness she once had.

What we have now is a president who talks down our country and the people of this country as well. When the president apologizes for our country and tells us if not for govt we all will starve in the streets it's now wonder no one is taking risks. When the president's policies are intent on punishing those who succeed it's once again no wonder people are not motivated to take risks.

We already have another FDR, who preaches the greatness of govt, and who wants to ignore the Constitution and the laws and do his own thing. Granted 0bama isn't trying yet to add extra SC justices in order to stack the SC in his favor, but his term aint over yet.

This country desperately is in need of a man like President Reagan even though we may not deserve such a leader considering how most in this land have lost their way and corrupted the vision of our founding fathers, who were not perfect, but dammit they had some good ideas.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

I have news for the primatives.
Every last former President would most likely slap Barry's face.
The only exception being Dhimmi Cawter.
He'd shake his hand for removing him from the bottom of the worst list.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

Damn, I sure hope not.  We need another 'President for life' like we need more broken glass in our food.

I'd say that Obama will accomplish an extended depression just like FDR did because he is using the same failed policies on steroids.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I don't think so, and here's why.  FDR was re-elected three times.  Obama will probably not be re-elected the first time.  Therefore, the undoing of the damage Obama is doing to the USA will take less time.  It will still be tough, but it will be done.
