Rigging the 2012 Election
 http://www.truthdig.com/report/item/rigging_the_2012_el...

An attack on the right to vote is under way across the country through laws designed to make it more difficult to cast a ballot. If this were happening in an emerging democracy, we’d condemn it as election-rigging. But it’s happening here, so there’s barely a whimper.

The laws are being passed in the name of preventing “voter fraud.” But study after study has shown that fraud by voters is not a major problem—and is less of a problem than how hard many states make it for people to vote in the first place. Some of the new laws, such as those limiting the number of days for early voting, have little plausible connection to battling fraud.

These statutes are not neutral. Their greatest impact will be to reduce turnout among African-Americans, Latinos and the young. It is no accident that these groups were key to Barack Obama’s victory in 2008—or that the laws in question are being enacted in states where Republicans control state governments.

Again, think of what this would look like to a dispassionate observer. A party wins an election, as the GOP did in 2010. Then it changes the election laws in ways that benefit itself. In a democracy, the electorate is supposed to pick the politicians. With these laws, politicians are shaping their electorates.

NAMBLA is a left-wing organization.

This will be their excuse for losing. The 10's of people who have no ID or couldn't manage to make it to the poll in the time alotted were disenfranchised which caused repiglicans to win in a landslide.

The democrats are beginning to realize that the "voter fraud" gig that they have relied on so long is about to be up.

...and they're not happy but I am..... :yahoo:

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

Correct - they screamed so loudly about fraud, and now that checks and balances are going into place, including auditable 'paper trails', the primitives have suddenly realized that one of their primary election strategeries is going away.

Look at 'Winsconsin' -

Paper trails, hand counted recounts, and yet they are still crying fraud because Kloppenberg lost.

Rigging the 2012 Elections.   Updated at 5:40 PM

I knew the Repubs. are going to go all out at rigging the 2012 elections. Come hell
or high water they're going to complete this time what G. W. Bush had started, but
couldn't finish -- turning this nation of ours into a dictatorship.

So the Repubs. have already begun to make things as "legal" as possible as they try to
prevent certain people from voting. Here's an article by E. J. Dionne, Jr.

We all agree that there's no sense in your voting.

From what I understand we, meaning the Republicans, supposedly have the means to manipulate electronic voting machines. Apparently we forgot how to use that ability in 2008. We, meaning the Republicans, are also supposedly passing laws and enacting rules such as the ID deal to prevent dead people...I mean Democrats...from voting.

Isn't that sort of like wearing a belt with suspenders? And shouldn't the smartest people on the innerwebz be able to easily thwart any schemes that we brain-dead Republicans can come up with?

If everyone is telling you you deserve something, vote for the one who is promising you the least. Be suspicious of the man or woman who tell you deserve everything. Because you don’t.” ---Mike Rowe

I'm still pissed off, really pissed off, that I got to vote only one time for George Bush in 2000, while a college student in Wisconsin got to vote eight times for Alphonse Capote Gore, and nothing happened with that.

Some Americans of African derivation make a big deal out of this old and thankfully-now-gone "three-fifths of a person" in the U.S. Constitution; I feel that as a Republican, I must be only "one-eighth of a person," when compared with Democrats in blue states and blue cities.

Prior to every election since 2002, the DUmmies have preemptively cried fraud before the election.
Of course the same evil Die Bold machines that put Bush into office were just fine when they made Pelosi Speaker, and 0bama POTUS.

They know they are going to lose, and rather than accept the fact that people don't want liberalism, they dream up conspiracy theories to explain how they, a sooper majority, lose most election cycles.

That and 0bama really got 300 million votes so Die Bold couldn't manage to steal it.  :-)
