I guess this a rant and the only word that comes to mind is ****!

**** the Democrats! As a child I was taught that family always sticks together. Even if you transgressed and were wrong, your family stood up for you. When Vitter was re-elected the Republicans welcomed him back with a standing ovation. It's something that in spite of my hatred toward anything Republican I had to admire. They stuck together and protected their own.

We're all human and our very nature is imperfect. The phony outrage I've been observing is sickening. While there are many who would never think about sexting, there are many more who do this all the time. Personally it's not for me due to my puritanical upbringing by a mother who was really uptight about sex. To label Wiener as being "sick" because he's comfortable with his sexuality is no different than someone labelling his critics as being "sick" because they aren't comfortable with theirs.

He broke NO laws. He didn't commit perjury. There is no law that states you have to be honest with the press or those who want you to talk about your private dealings. It's no one's business! Of course now his wife will have make her own PERSONAL decisions. She's the only one affected.

Since when do we expect a public servant to be on the job 24/7?? We sure don't have a problem when he has sex with his wife and don't say he's having sex on OUR dime!! Do we want to know when our member of congress is masturbating? Did one of them fart on your dime? When they're bored in the endless meetings do we have a right to demand if they're having "unclean" thoughts?? This hysteria that Wiener's talking, or sending emails, or Private Messaging meant that he was doing this on OUR dime is absurd!!

I thought we were DEMOCRATS!! LIBERAL!! Honesty, integrity, being honorable, are all ideals that we strive for. They aren't reality. If you can manage this throughout your life 90% of the time you are special indeed. It's one of the main reasons so many are religious. So that when they "sin" they can be forgiven because too many can't forgive themselves or others for their imperfections.

Wiener's transgressions don't compare to the hypocracy on display as the Democrat parahnas circled in day after day to destroy Wiener. Loyalty nowhere to be found among them.

**** THEM!!

Wiener is gone and I'm changing my voter designation to Independent until a new Progressive Party emerges from the rubble.

Two things:

1)  It is said he made this decision after having talked to his wife.  Couldn't it be she told him that if their marriage is important to him, he needs to quit and focus on straightening up?  I could certainly see my wife saying that if the issue were mine, and it's certainly a reasonable request.

2)  There was a time when Skin's wouldn't permit foul language in the title of a thread.  Within the body he didn't care, but it wasn't to be part of the thread title.  That Skin's has not upheld this rule is rather disappointing.

I never had much to say on this whole sorry affair.  Too sordid and embarrassing and not fit for polite society.  I imagine Anthony will become a talking head on MSNBC, or join a liberal lefty think tank and write for The Nation.  I'm sick of looking at him.

I heard his resignation "speech" on ABC this afternoon. I think it was then, though it might have been this morning on Fox....Nancy Pelosi told him he was to resign, that he was being "stripped" (yep, that's what was said) of his congressional committees.
