Gore lauds Romney on climate position
By Jordan Fabian - 06/15/11 01:17 PM ET

Former Vice President Al Gore on Wednesday praised GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney for his acknowledgement of global climate change.

Gore, who has championed climate issues since losing the 2000 presidential race, posted a note on his blog that praised Romney for being consistent on his position that humans have contributed to rising global temperatures.

"Good for Mitt Romney — though we've long passed the point where weak lip-service is enough on the Climate Crisis," Gore wrote. "While other Republicans are running from the truth, he is sticking to his guns in the face of the anti-science wing of the Republican Party."

Gore's message could further provoke conservatives, some of whom objected last week after Romney reiterated his position at a town-hall meeting in New Hampshire.

“Bye-bye, nomination,” conservative talker Rush Limbaugh said on his radio last Tuesday, The Washington Post noted.

I dunno. I still think the constant, incessant drumbeating by ALL the freakin' media -- to include Fox News -- that Romney is the darling of the GOP has been, and will continue to be, quite effective.

It's gonna take a major freakin' meltdown for Romney to be unseated from this rickety throne right now.

And yeah, I know, it's early.

But the drumbeating is just gonna get louder and louder and louder and I'm just not confident in the American voter's ability to see past the ******* MSM.  :argh:

I think you're partially right, Eupher.  However, there is plenty of time for Romney to fail.  But this is eerily similar to how the media helped nominate McCain.

It's going to take a grass roots movement like the TEA Party to keep an establishment RINO from being the nominee. We need the TEA Party favorites to get behind one candidate and to do it soon.

No way - just because the MSM insists Romney is the "front runner" only means he isn't, and I don't think he ever was. The primaries' structure was always going against him - he couldn't win in the Iowa caucuses no matter how much he pandered to the pro-ethanol crowd, SC would have been a nightmare, and he didn't even win in "neighboring" NH last time. His campaign has imploded.

Well let's see Romney pretty much pioneered the implementation of 0bamacare in his own state, next he supports cap n tax, and believes in Al Gore's Global warming errr climate change. If he gets the nomination we may as well start sending our congratulations to 0bama, on his soon to be reelection, that very day.  :banghead:
