Tea Party Congressman Drowns American Flag
   


It's Flag Day, the day when we pray to the American Flag for another year safe from Sharia, which makes it doubly sickening that today photos have emerged showing Tea Party bomb-thrower Rep. Allen West flying a flag underwater while scuba-diving in Florida over the weekend.

As the Broward Palm Beach New Times points out, it's against the Flag Law to fly the flag underwater—it's like burning it but in the other direction!—and Allen West will have to go to Flag Jail now.

These people will burn the flag any chance they get, when not stomping or wiping their asses with it, are now outraged that Rep. West is posing with one underwater.

There have been many alleged (R) victories in the past that I would never have thought possible.
Rick (Criminal) Scott for Governor and Daniel Webster over Alan Grayson just to name two.
There had to be some sort of shady dealings to put those clowns in office.

The first was running against 2 other people who split the dem vote and the other was running against a pooh-flinging caveman who embarrassed his district every time he opened his mouth.

underwater re-enlistments are common in the US military - most with the American flag. Google "underwater reenlistments" to see plenty of pictures of underwater flags. I doubt the US military is routinely breaking the law.

Secondly, the Flag Code is not enforceable - it would conflict with First Amendment rights.

Um...  what "Flag Law" (they even capitalized it!) is this?  There's a Flag Code, but it's only advisory in nature and there is no punishment for violating it.

The congressman and his dive buddies planted an American flag on an artificial reef and highlighted efforts to provide therapy and new skills to Iraq and Afghanistan veterans.

The shipwreck of the Ancient Mariner, about 60 feet deep off Deerfield Beach, received a patriotic decoration Sunday courtesy of U.S. Rep. Allen West, R-Plantation, and about a dozen military veterans.

West and his dive companions briefly put up an American flag on the deck of the popular artificial reef, then posed for photos and videos, as several dozen civilian divers — and numerous fish — watched. The flag flapped proudly in the strong southerly current.

“I think it’s important wherever we are, that the flag flies,” said West, a 22-year veteran Army officer and experienced scuba diver.

His dive buddies heartily agreed. They are veterans of the Army, Navy and Marine Corps with multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, and some have taken up scuba diving to relieve post-traumatic stress disorder. They received training through Veterans Ocean Adventures based at Shake-A-Leg Miami’s Coconut Grove sea base.

It's like every morality issue...Dims have no morals, so don't care if their representatives reflect that.  Republicans, on the other hand, tend to believe in serving your country, living a moral life, not killing your children and other "weird" ideas, so must always be absolutely perfect to be OK.  No, I take that back.  Even a really good (R), someone that has never committed any actual offenses, is not OK.  The Dims will make up offenses out of thin air to make sure of that.
