Analysts: Sarah Palin Writes at an 8th-grade Level

The huge cache of Sarah Palin's emails released Friday offered not only a chance to see what she was writing about during her uncompleted term as Alaska's governor, but also an opportunity to see how well she writes.

AOL Weird News brought samples to two writing analysts who independently evaluated 24,000 pages of the former governor's emails. They came back in agreement that Palin composed her messages at an eighth-grade level, an excellent score for a chief executive, they said.

"I'm a centrist Democrat, and would have loved to support my hunch that Ms. Palin is illiterate," said 2tor Chief Executive Officer John Katzman.

"However, the emails say something else. Ms. Palin writes emails on her Blackberry at a grade level of 8.5."

http://weirdnews.aol.com/2011/06/13/sarah-palin-writing...

Apparently, corporate CEOs average even lower writing scores. Kinda/sorta/buevista makes you think that we're ****ed, doesn't it? :(

Now it makes sense why the left gets everything wrong when it comes to Palin. She writes on a level too advanced for these clowns.

How in the hell can anyone really judge a reading level based on emails?
Most people just type out quick responses and hit send. It's not like an email is a term paper for Pete's sake.

What it boils down too, is they didn't find plans to a death star so they have to come up with someway to blast her, so they pull this stunt.

Besides we see the posts from people at DU, who claim to be teachers, the grammar, punctuation, and the rules for capitalizing letters are not followed.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

If some newspaper editors still argue that plain language cannot be expressive and vigorous, they should look at what novelists can do with it. These top-selling U.S. authors all write at the 7th-grade level:
•John Grisham
•Tom Clancy
•Michael Crichton
•Stephen King
•Clive Cussler
•Mary Renault
•Frank McCourt
•Arthur Golden

Does anyone else remember how Algore talked during the debates in 2000?  He was completely talking down to the audience in such a condescending fashion that he was roundly ridiculed.  And that was about a second grade level.

When I was in journalism school we were told to write at a 3rd grade level so all readers could understand the articles.  BFD on an 8th grade level.  Joe Biden probably has been bitching because he had to hire someone to explain the emails to him.

So given the man's unabashed bias against her, I guess we can safely bump up her actual writing level by at least a grade or two.

This is from the English majors at the dump?  BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! My Mother, the English Teacher Creature from Hell, would burn those morons over there a new ass on the proper usage of grammar. Hades' Fire!!!! She burns me a new ass every time I send her an email. She sends it back corrected in red. God forbid she ever decides to get text messages. I think she would have a heart attack.

My 2 cents is this:  If you ain't writing a research or some other formal paper who really gives a shit? You get your point across in a fast manner in an email.

Never write or speak at a higher level than the DUmmies you're trying to communicate with.

She should drop down to about third grade level.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

DUmmies like to think that their use of polysyllabic words and complicated grammar makes them look more smarterer <sic>.

All it does in reality is make them look like an out of depth idiot.

They enjoy using five dollar words, and inventing some of their own - example -

I have never come across the phrase 'well and truly screwn' until I read DU. - I'm not even sure if that could be considered a colloquialism, such as 'yins' in Pittsburghese , 'bubbler' in Southie, or 'cabinet' in Rhode Islander..
