Bradley Manning 'hailed a hero' on arrest anniversary

A YEAR to the day that a young American soldier with strong Pembrokeshire links was arrested and accused of leaking classified information, some internationally known advocates held a teleconference to discuss his case.

The Western Telegraph was in on the call as WikiLeaks editor in chief Julian Assange and the man at the heart of leaking Pentagon Papers relating to the Vietnam war, Daniel Ellsberg, spoke of former Tasker Milward pupil Bradley Manning as a “hero.”

(snip)

...Mr Ellsberg said: “I was the Bradley Manning of my day,” adding that he admired the 23-year-old.

(snip)

...Mr Assange described the treatment of Bradley, described as abusive by Amnesty International, as “a sledge hammer to crack a nut”.

He added: “Bradley Manning, like all true heroes did not crack.”

They turn traitors into heroes at DUmmyland, then wonder why the rest of us call them anti-American.

6. Bradley Manning is true American Hero.

I hope he gets what he deserves, a statue of him in Washington DC on the Mall. Anyone who says different is a jackboot fascist.

**** yeah!

 :mental:

Of course if it turns out that something the traitor leaked gets 0bama in trouble he will fall from grace at DUmmyland.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Two remarks I have to agree with.
The homo's a nut, and I hope he gets what he deserves.

Whoa-ho.

I just noticed something.

Character references are now required if one wishes to register at, and post on, conservativecave.

I think that's an excellent idea, but am heaving a sigh of relief I got in before that.

whatshisname had better be thanking his lucky stars too.

That's exactly why the traitor is in jail, you stupid scrunt. :banghead:
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

It's a good thing I got here before the character references as well.  :-)

It would be more effective to require references to stay in.
Just think how much sooner we would have been rid of TNO and Short Al, to name just a couple.

He's lucky that his fellow prisoners are not beating him with a pillow case filled with bars of soap or soda cans. Jackass needs one as it is for selling out this country while wearing it's uniform.

The whiney little ***** isn't allowed out with "real" men. That's why.
Yes, a blanket party would be in order.

He's not a hero, he's anything but. Why elevate someone to hero status who directly violated everything he was supposed to stand for? He's a kid who broke the law and betrayed his nation, not hero material.

He gets called a hero when the real heroes are out doing their jobs, with little recognition from a lot (not all) people. Think people like the emergency services saving lives everyday, those in the middle east and other military operations fighting for their country, the list is huge.

Why do they wish to put him on the same level or even above?
