DUmmies Discuss La Nina, El Nino, And La Algore
« on: June 11, 2011, 07:17:43 PM »
Stimpy makes his bazillionth boring-as-hell post, this time quoting some unnamed moonbat from Stanford on the Algore climate problem. Stanford, you may recall, is the only place on earth as wild-eyed crazy as Berkeley. Amazingly, they're only an hour's drive apart. Their proximity has apparently resulted in a critical mass of madness, with a subsequent meltdown of judgement.

Is this year's heat weather or climate change?
I heard a scientist from Stanford University on the radio today. He and his colleagues are of the opinion that this heat is, in fact, climate change. They believe it to still be reversible, but not for much longer.

They predict that if we do nothing, the tropics will suffer the first permanent climate shift, wherein their coolest summers will be hotter than the hottest summers from years past. They think this can happen as soon as 20 years from now.

If nothing else happens, the same fate will hit the temperate latitudes by the last quarter of the century.

The climate change catastrophe is reversible, but only if all American businesses and the American way of life are shut down within the next few months. The jug-eared muslim has been trying his best, but American business has proven to be more resilient than expected.

And what's up with this "hotter summers in the tropics" business? I thought it was always hot in the tropics, where the seasons are just "dry" and
"wet". I spent a couple of weeks in Caracas one February (pre-Yugo), and it was hot as hell. Are glaciers melting there, too? I never watch Keef, The Munch, or the Algore channel, so I'm not up on this stuff.

1. I'd say, the current heat is Weather.
The way the weather seems to be osculating more dramatically in recent years ... climate change.

Well, I suppose if the weather sucks you could say it osculates. These DUmmies come up with one beauty after another.

4. I must always use the term 'Climate Change'
when discussing this with mouth breathers because 'Global Warming' gives them a come back of yeah, that's why it snowed... blah blah <sigh>

5. That's the thing about climate change.
We're still frantically trying to understand the CURRENT patterns WITHOUT taking into account the added heat caused by CO2 emissions.

If the Gulf Stream stops, it may plunge Northern Europe into a cold period. But then, it may also cause heat spells and droughts in the southern US. UNLESS it affects the El Nino/La Nina systems. Then it's anybody's guess.

One thing's for sure. Extreme weather effects are going to be the NORM, not the exception. Just look at Australia. Floods, droughts and fires like they've never seen.

It'll be here soon enough.

I thought after the jug-eared messiah was elected, we wouldn't have floods or droughts anymore, and we'd only have fires for s'mores.

The main reason I noticed this thread:

6. the alternative press in Portland has an article warning of an influx...
...of "climate refugees" who will seek out the more temperate Pacific Northwest soon, and begging for local leaders to begin planning for such a population shift from those who now live in the areas that will suffer severe drought and extremes. I'm not gonna like having millions more Californians edging north.

The "alternative press" would be those papers the panhandlers try to peddle when you're waiting at a stoplight.  They have all the good news, I guess. Never had one in my hands.

But the main thing is, here's DUmmy grasswire talking again about being in freaking Oregon! No Wisconsin pie shop / weed emporium! She did say her former friend wanted her ass out of his bonus room up there on that Wisconsin farmette, then not another word.  Lots of excitement about the pie shop / head shop though, recipes being worked on, concern for diabetic potheads, etc., etc. Now here is at least the second reference to being in Oregon.

I think DUmmy grasswire owes us an explanation. Poor, stupid Beth finally let us know she's trying to avoid foreclosure on the camper, with some illegal Mexicans filling in the ravines washed through the trail back to the county gravel road. Now we need an update from DUmmy grasswire. Where is she freeloading this time? Will a pie shop work in Oregon, considering that weed is far more easily available than in rural Wisconsin? After all, if DUmmy grasswire is now in Oregon, she's practically a next door neighbor to Humboldt County, the weed capital of the Northern Hemisphere. Pie may not be as attractive there.

The DUmmies claim that oil is a finite resource that comes from long dead animals, right?  There is a whole lot of oil up in Alaska and Northern Russia.  Place that don't currently support the numbers of animals to have produced so much oil.  Maybe, just maybe those areas were much warmer, but are now cold because , get ready for it.....

Stinky, our weather has basically stayed unchanged for 10,000 years, weather is cyclical, we're lucky it stayed like it has for all those years.

translated version:

Stinky, il nostro tempo è rimasta sostanzialmente immutata per 10.000 anni, il tempo è ciclico, siamo fortunati è rimasto come è stato per tutti questi anni.

It's really remarkable that the people who claim to be most authoritative on nature, to the point of demanding we
abandon our way of life, have lived their entire lives walking on asphalt, or concrete, or linoleum, or carpet.

Algore, the world's foremost authority on all things natural, was raised in a penthouse apartment at the Hay-Adams Hotel, on 16th Street in the District of Columbia.

It's freaking arrogant to think that man can possibly have any effect on something that's so much greater than us.

I thought it was that blue stuff, ordered exclusively by chicks and homos. Do they use umbrellas?
I thought those were other chick drinks like mai-tais and maybe margaritas.
But I think I meant the adjective.

It could very well be that the grasswire primitive's still in Wisconsin.....if she was ever in Wisconsin.....or that she's really in Oregon, being passed around like the helpless old aunt who needs a home even if it's a relative's attic.

It could equally well be a childish ploy to mislead; the grasswire primitive, like Mrs. Alfred Packer, probably paranoiadly thinks franksolich is stalking her when in fact no such nonsense is going on, or has ever gone on.  But these are primitives, with their obsessive "need" to feel persecuted.

Her degree of interest and enthusiasm for the hoodlums and vandals who came to desecrate the Wisconsin statehouse makes me believe she really was still on the farmette. But learning how many decent and civilized people are keeping an eye out for news of a non-profit pie shop / hippie music and weed den opening somewhere in the Milwaukee - Madison region may have made her nervous. Then learning of coach's increasingly frequent, but always mysterious journeys to the east and north of the Sandhills could have brought on a full-blown panic. After all, when one claims to be rolling through the endless, uninhabited wheat fields of North Dakota, there are no witnesses to confirm that. Ever since the freepers killed Andy, any attention from franksolich carries sinister and dangerous implications in the DUmbass mind.

So I'm beginning to suspect these offhanded references to Oregon, to Oregon weather, to local Portland stuff are just DUmmy grasswire trying to lay a false scent trail. Otherwise, I'm sure she would be courteous enough to respond to our requests for an update. If that's the case, she can be sure that if the pie shop / weed dispensary / sleeping room opens it will draw lots of attention. It will also be a miracle.

Incidentally, it may just be a coincidence, but Mrs. Packer returned to the DUmp, after claiming to be frightened away, immediately after coach posted the map which purported to show his travels to the north, rather than the south. Not too smart of Mrs. Packer to trust that map, but there you have it.

That's probably right; she's probably been passed on to another relative, to live in the attic or garage.

There's no doubt she's simple--and not because she's a Democrat and a primitive--given the joy she gets in her half-Canadian citizenship, shopping for groceries every day in the European manner, that she doesn't see the connection between George Bush (January 2001-January 2007, when Nancy took over) and the rise and fall of her nephew's restaurant, or hanging around with rag-pickers.

But in moving to Oregon, even further away from franksolich, she moved right into the nest of one of the most notorious freepers who killed the late red round one.

By the way, I got this.

The individual turned out to be an old college classmate and roommate, although a year older than franksolich, now in Colorado, whom I haven't seen since the late 1990s, shortly after I returned from the socialist paradises of the workers and peasants.

I think I'm going to work the primitive pursuit of this picture, like Wild Bill's bad back, into "Mrs. Alfred Packer does the 4th of July."

You know, sir, I just took a head-count.

When the grasswire primitive lived in Wisconsin, she was in the immediate neighborhood of two freepers who killed the late red round one, one of them being the head man for this side (the head man for the other side lives elsewhere).

franksolich, out here on the roof of Nebraska, was the third-closest.

Now that the grasswire primitive's moved to Oregon, she's surrounded by freepers who killed the late red round one, including the aforementioned one, who's especially mean and vicious.  I wouldn't want to mess with that one.

But there's also one freeper, and one person from the other side, living immediately north of the grasswire primitive, in the area of Seattle.  And then just to the south of the grasswire primitive, in far northern California, there's another one of those freepers who killed the late red round one, and this one carries firearms as part of the job.

It looks to me as if the grasswire primitive jumped from the frying-pan into the fire.
