Tracy Morgan offends, then apologizes
 
In a recent stand-up performance, comedian Tracy Morgan, who stars in NBC’s hit show “30 Rock,” went on an anti-gay rant in front of his audience in Nashville, Tennessee.

Among those in attendance was a gay fan, Kevin Rogers, who subsequently posted on Facebook about a series of homobphobic comments made by Morgan as part of his act. According to Rogers, Morgan act included comments such as “gays needed to quit being pussies and not be whining about something as insignificant as bullying.” Morgan apparently added that “he didn’t f*cking care if he pissed off some gays, because if they can take a f**king d**k up their a**… they can take a f**king joke.”

Rogers also described how Morgan expressed that he would stab his own son to death if he were gay and spoke to him in an effeminate manner.

Following news reports today of Morgans slurs, and calls for an apology from LGBT-rights organizations such as GLAAD and HRC, Morgan released a formal apology, expressing:

1. Sometimes an apology is not enough.
 
He should lose his career for this, as he would if he said something similarly racist or anti-semitic--over and over and over.

I want to see him so poor he's picking through the trash looking for food.

The whole rant - violence directed at women, children, gay people - is unforgivable. What kind of person would say such things.

One thing about DUmmies is when a comedian makes jokes about killing people they put politics aside and go after that person.
Y'all remember the fuss they put up when Christopher Titus said he was going to hang out in the grassy knoll just waiting for Palin to show up, right?

What Tracy needs to do, is change the subject from gays, to conservatives and then all will be well. After all joking that killing your own kid for being a repuke is pure comedy I'm sure.

Some jokes are funny and some are not.  Comedians throw out outrageous stuff all the time.  If it gets them laughs it gets to stay in the show, if not then they don't use it next time.

I've heard a lot of comedians say things I didn't think was funny and some of it offended the hell out of me but I'm not going to go crying about it.  The market will determine whether I'm an outlier on the issue.

He's a comedian - Who cares ?

If his act offends too many people, he will no longer get bookings - the only solution Tracy Morgan should be subject to is the Free Market Solution.

Charlie Sheen, Mel Gibson, and every actor & actress who have recently learned their TV series is not getting picked up for another season. The Free Market Solution works every time.
