No but linking to a study done by an independent polling group showing that shes less popular than Sheen is. Shes not a political threat.
We'll see. If she gets in and is the nominee my guess is she'll win in a landslide. Heck, anyone but a RINO will. People just see Rom-Newt-Hunt as 0bama light and the public is sick to death of elites...whether they be in politics, corporations, banks, etc...The gift she has (and it's one the more electric true conservatives have going for them) is a kind of enthusiasm that's infectious. Like Reagan, she has the ability to draw the squishy middle to her without sacrificing her principles.
She's the ONLY one out there talking about American exceptionalism and greatness. Right now the country is hungry for someone to remind us why we're great. We've had years of our own president badmouthing our country while driving us into a ditch. The nation feels pretty beaten down...this is malaise on steroids. Everyone else is highlighting this country's problems and getting us "back" to what we were. Sarah Palin is reminding us that we already ARE that "shining city on a hill". It's our "leaders" and their cronies who've forgotten (or simply don't care). While she's doing this, she isn't afraid to talk about what needs to change and what her solutions are.
The public was duped into thinking 0bama was fresh and new but he turned out to be an insider that practices a crony capitalism worse than anything we've seen before. Palin's emails now coming out show her to be open, independent, and hardworking. She's been vetted more than any other candidate in our history. And she's an outsider not beholden to any corporation, oil company, mortgage lender, etc. She has a reputation for destroying the "good old boys" club. And it'll be a contest between someone whose practically had an anal exam by the press and one that to this day we know very little about.
And the campaign will give her the opportunity to let the people get to know her without the media filter or RINO handlers. That's why her negatives are so high. But she has a knack for going right to the people. At one time I thought Michelle Bachmann could do the same until she hired Ed Rollins, who's just another elite establishment type. Ironically he also has ties to candidates like Romney. I kind of feel like Bachmann is making a run at being Mitts VP. If she really was a Tea Party candidate she wouldn't have hired a mudslinging elite to manage her campaign.
I'm NOT saying Palin's Reagan, but the circumstances are very similar. You have the press and the left constantly trying to dig up dirt on her. As an aside, she hasn't once backed down or apologized for her beliefs. You have the media, left, and GOP party hacks all trying to destroy her. If it was just the media hounding her you could say this was a sideshow but ALL of those groups wouldn't be trying to destroy someone they think can't get elected. That would be a ridiculous use of their time which could be spent defining how they differ from the "serious" candidates.
Unlike when Reagan was running, however, this time the country's in worse shape. Palin and Cain are the only ones who can truly claim to be outsiders. Anyone who is endorsed by the establishment politicians is doomed. Rush is right: the left will always tell you who our candidate should be by who they're trying the hardest to destroy.
