Truly disgusting miscreants.

I have a profoundly challenged cousin who competed in the Special Olympics well into her forties. It was the highlight of all her conversations, something she looked forward to all through the year. Big stuff. It means everything to those who take part in these competitions.

Karen has become too heavy and diabetes also precludes her from participating but she insists on attending every year still to cheer for the competitors and watch all the events.

I doubt these morons can even begin to fathom how devastating their actions were or the pain and confusion they caused by denying those Special Olympians their moment of triumph and personal recognition.

They deserve to be brought up on charges and prosecuted.

Remember their attitude toward Trig Palin?  It wasn't a fluke, or even due to his mother, these people really don't care at all about those Special Olympians.  All they care about is whether or not some woman "made the mistake" of letting them be born alive.  After that, all they "need" to do is vote for laws that will tax "the rich" enough to have Uncle Sam take care of "people like that," and the Dims can go their merry way without a care in the world.

I doubt the protesters would have done this at any other Olympic Event, or an event of state athletes.

The protesters obviously lacked respect for the people because they were disabled.  I'm thinking we're labeling the wrong group with that tag.

As Michelle Malkin says, democrats use children, disabled, the poor, and the elderly as human shields only.  They couldn't care less about anyone else.

I sent Althouse's link to Drudge just now.  As you can tell, this really, really hits a sore spot with me.  Not only do I have an autistic nephew, but, I spent my high school and college days volunteering at our local Special Olympics event.  Sorry, I may have entered the irrational zone in my anger over this.
