JULY 6--Rush Limbaugh was traveling with four other men--including the producers of the hit show '24'--when he was detained over a mislabeled bottle of Viagra found in his luggage during a Customs search. A Department of Homeland security passenger manifest shows that Limbaugh and his four buddies flew from the Dominican Republic on a Gulfstream IV jet owned by Premiere Radio Networks, which syndicates his radio program. Limbaugh returned to Palm Beach, Florida on June 26 with Joel Surnow, '24''s co-creator and executive producer and Howard Gordon, another of the Fox hit's executive producers (Hollywood agent Jeffrey Benson was also part of the Limbaugh quintet). With all those guys in tow, it is unclear what Limbaugh needed with those 29 100mg Viagra pills. The passenger manifest was among several documents released today by the Palm Beach County State's Attorney in response to a TSG open records request. Included in the material released were a copy of the handwritten statement Limbaugh provided investigators after he was detained upon the discovery of the impotency drug. An affidavit sworn three days later by Limbaugh was also released. In that document, Limbaugh explains that the Viagra 'was intended for my exclusive use' and that the drug had been prescribed in the name of his drug treatment doctor, Steven Strumwasser, 'to further maintain and protect my privacy.'

So what's the problem? 

A grown man has viagra and goes on vacation.  He was single at the time and as far as I know sex is still legal.

The number of pills in the bottle is a complete non-issue since you're supposed to always keep the prescription in the bottle.

The difference is that Rush is a private citizen and did not abuse his position of power to hide and lie about his deeds. Weiner used his position to abuse a private person (Breitbart) that was telling the truth.

I actually heard that call and Rush put the MORON in his place quite nicely.

But the real beauty of it is that this fool has been all over Dkos bragging about his call like he actually accomplished something.

Limbaugh's show is so produced that this clown wouldn't make it past the screener in the 1st place if they didn't want him to. Add that to the fact that the show is on a 40-45 sec delay and because of his hearing loss every call is also closed captioned for him.

In other words if the EIB hadn't wanted the call to go on, it wouldn't have.

There's no connection between a vacation destination having a certain reputation and having a bottle of viagra with someone who gets caught red-handed texting sex pics and language to females to whom he isn't married.  There's no evidence that Rush went to the DR for any particular reason, whereas what Weiner was doing is evident for all to see.

I'm trying to imagine how stupid the primitive has to be to not see the difference.  I gladly explained it to the primitives, but based upon what I'm seeing they won't be bright enough to grasp it, so I wasted my time.

The kaput primitive got slapped down, as he deserved.  We as conservatives don't have to put up with that type of immature non-sense, and we don't.

On today's Rush Limbaugh program, he took a call from a liberal that wanted to discuss the economy and the government's role in creating jobs. There was a fair bit of back and forth, and finally Rush began to wind the call down. With knowledgable liberals, Limbaugh will frequently conclude calls by asking some form of a teasing rhetorical question akin to, "What is it like to live in your dreamworld?"

This caller saw it coming and turned the question around by asking Limbaugh, "So you really are off the Oxycontin?"

At that, we heard no more from the caller. Rush went on to accuse him of being a "seminar caller" - someone trained by the DNC to infiltrate talk radio programs.

The entire call was interesting; give it a listen, but if you want to skip to the Oxycontin bit, it can be found near the 6:30 mark.
