Withering Weather
« on: June 08, 2011, 01:09:42 PM »
98 out there right now, high humidity, heat inde of 105. Thorms tonight, high of 57 - 65 tomorrow.

Geez. I still haven't been able to level the clay and sow grass seed in the back of our property. It's still slimy from the last rains.

Meanwhile, Texans are praying for rain.

Currently 93 with thunderstorms predicted for the weekend.  I'll take this over the damn cold and snow.

It's finally Spring here. Mid to low 80's all this week and next. Just 2 days ago we were running the heater.

I tried to level the ground this afternoon. No luck; it's like a rock out there. My poor 13 year ol' John Deere thinks it's been sold into slavery.

I love heat. The hotter the better. You'll never hear me complain about it but I bitch about the cold all winter long.  :brrr:

I'm with you. I hate the cold. My wife loves snow. I say go look at the shit in the mountains and then go home leaving it behind.

I hate snow and ice.  Mostly ice.  **** winter.

I don't care if it's 110º outside, I have air conditioning.

Yep, and my power bills are still less with the AC than they are with the heat cold.

I don't really care one way or the other. When it gets bad out there, I just lie low.

My wife, however, is descended from reindeer herders way up in the north, and it must be ingrained in her DNA, because she HATES it when it gets over 78 degrees.

51 and the furnace is still kicking on here.  Two feet of new snow on three of the last 7 or 8 days on the mountains.  This might be our summer, though last Sunday it hit 95 for a few hours.

Looks like the real hot stuff is gone, at least for a while. The temperatures dropping from 75 as I type this. We got over 6" of rain last night, with more due today, tonight, tomorrow and tomorrow night. Glub-glub.

It's only 84 with humidity at 55%....but it supposed to be in the mid 90's. We've had 10 days (11?) straight with temps in mid to upper 90's and no rain. It just takes your breath away.....

Way too hot this early in the summer. Can't wait to see what late July, August and early September are going to be.  :bawl:

This afternoon, there were storm warnings... we had some wind, lots of thunder, a bit of lightning, zapped the power out,.....after all that? about 10 raindrops. :(

Storms are skipping all around us.

90-something here again today. Like walking out into a sauna.

I'm over it.

 :rotf: That didn't take long.

I'd rather deal with this weather than the ice and cold that just left.
