Remember the fake video of the FOX news ticker being hacked?

If you read all the actual news article about Moveon and the ticker you'll see that MoveOn is just using the video hoax as a launching point for some of their typical BS.  They're not claiming the you tube video was real, they're just using the hoax for their own purposes.

Of course Raw Story got hold of the story and passed it on to the DUmmies who obviously can't comprehend what they're actually reading.

Moveon did it!

MoveOn admits to defacing Fox News HQ in prank

Source: Raw Story
By Sahil Kapur

WASHINGTON – The progressive advocacy group MoveOn.org admitted Wednesday to pulling a prank that splayed anti-conservative slogans along the ticker outside Fox News's Manhattan headquarters, the Huffington Post reports.

"We are being lied to," the electronic message board read briefly. "Rightwingers are destroying the middle class and trying to kill our unions... We are not broke. We will rise up. We will fight back. We will spread the truth."

The video, posted to YouTube last week, garnered over 300,000 hits. Fox News said it was a hoax, and until today it was unclear who was responsible.

Now MoveOn is using the prank as a launching pad for a broad anti-austerity campaign, set to launch June 23, with involvement from ex-White House adviser Van Jones and The Roots. The group's executive director Justin Ruben told HuffPost's Sam Stein that it "will be the largest economic campaign we have ever run," aimed at shifting the political discussion from austerity to jobs.

1. Caused a hell of a stir here on DU...I know, I first posted it.

Long thread, most people calling it a fake. Just goes to show, DU has more "experts" on an given subject than just about anyplace on Earth.

MoveOn Uses Fox News Hoaxes, Van Jones And The Roots In Anti-Austerity Campaign
Moveon We Are Being Lied To

WASHINGTON -- It seemed, at the time, too surreal to be true. In late May, a YouTube user named Hiropro999 posted a video to the site showing the ticker outside of News Corp.'s Manhattan headquarters being hacked and reprogrammed with an anti-FOX News script. The mysterious nature of the poster combined with the high profile of the target produced a tremendous amount of curiosity and netted 300,000-plus views.

FOX News said the video was a fake. It was.

On Wednesday morning, MoveOn.org, the five million-member progressive advocacy organization, finally acknowledged that it had commandeered the elaborate prank in an effort to draw attention to a much larger campaign. On June 23rd, the organization, alongside former White House adviser Van Jones and The Roots, are launching what organizers are calling "Rebuild the Dream," an effort to move the political conversation away from austerity and towards job creation.

25 years ago we had Ronald Reagan, Johnny Cash and Bob Hope.  Now we have Obama, no hope and no cash.

False but true. :thatsright:

Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

The DUmbasses, including blank speech bubble boy Pedro Picasso, still do not understand that the moonbats at Moveon are admitting
it was an internet hoax that did not appear at Fox News headquarters.

Expert Pedro falsely claimed that he's now trusted at Mission Control to draw banners in addition to blank speech bubbles.
He implied that his technical expertise in banners, which we now know was imaginary, allowed him insights into how the
brilliant hackers pulled off the trick that didn't actually happen.

If Pedro were not as utterly unimportant and unknown as he is, it could have been his "Rove indictment".

DU, more tools than a Harbor Freight warehouse.

Those that think they are the smartest people on the internet, A are not and B very easy to fool.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.
