I think it was them that sent my son an invitation to one of those things awhile back. Long list of important people(????), nice printing job, very flattering, bragged about his accomplishments, blah, blah, blah....I had to keep checking the name at the top of the page to make sure we were both thinking of the same kid...
The wife, easily influenced by a little flattery of the fruit of her womb, was all set to send him to Washington along with said amount of cash...The hair on the back of my neck stood up and my first thoughts were "SCAM". I put it in file "13".
If he were to get something like that from Jim DeMints office or Mick Mulvanney or some conservative type group, I'd send him in a skinny minute....after I checked it out.
